Just try, remove the card . Then do a sound check.

If you have sound after removing the card. It's possible that the problem is Window related. Not a hardware problem but software.

Try installing the card , then do a clean install of window. With the drivers for the card.

Before you do a clean install, make sure to backup  Bookmarks,Photos, Password,  ......

if you have not done a clean install. Look, in YouTube on how to do it.

If you remove the card, and still get no sound I would do a clean window install anyway to remove any doubt on software side.

Ha. I see, not a simple upgrade.

You could try a USB external sound adapter. At least it may be a work around. until you figure it out. I had a similar problem and a cheap USB adapter worked.

If you have a local flea market you may find one. [ Have a look in Amazon the get, what it look like.]

Look in Amazon for Sound Adapter, in case you don't trust the link.

I didn't say that at all. You'd find the benefits of NVME in environments where large file transfers are being conducted, that extra bandwidth that NVME has is crucial to an efficient workflow.

If you don't need the NVME speeds, yes. If you can find NVME for a no more than 5% more the price of SATA, I say why not.

M.2 drives are SSDs... M.2 is only the form factor.

What you're referring to there is NVME vs SATA, not M.2 and SSD.

NVME is that 2500mbps figure; SATA is that 550mbps figure.

That is a very odd resolution.  You should be getting triple digit frame rates with AAA titles.  Your Ryzen 5 1600 is holding back the 2070 but not by much.  Stick with what you have unless your getting big dips in frame rate.

Get a SSD, ASAP. It'll make even a old laptop from 2009 feel fast.

720p? You'll want to upgrade your monitor.

Get an SSD, that will definitely be beneficial for overall user experience.

Tou don’t need to upgrade yet; hold out a few months for Ryzen3000 to be released (Q3 ‘19)
