Put your video card overclock back to stock speeds.  If its only doing it in games but you can work a load in winblows then ya stock up the video card then let us know.

Internet speed isn't really relevant when it comes to ping. It has more to do with how far away the server is.
Based on their decisions so far (and especially this season), I'd say that this is a pretty accurate statement.

If you are going to build a high-end system like the one above, spend the extra $30 on faster ram, which really benefits AMD. You can swap out the MOBO for a cheaper one too.

this seems the best for me. You could get X299 stuff with more cores to shorten render time but that drops your single core performance a bit (not as good when you're editing) at a significantly higher cost. Ryzen Threadripper is a viable option because the 12 core 1920x does fit your budget, but the single core disadvantage is more significant. At least it can hold twice as much memory than the 9900k

i7 9700K then, the Ryzen 7 2700X is not advised for high refresh rate gaming due to low single threaded performance.

When you're aiming high refresh rate at low resolution the CPU becomes much more important, see an example:

The higher the resolution the more work you throw on GPU to the point CPU won't matter as the limiting factor is the video card.

But if you make it so easy to the GPU then the limiting factor becomes the CPU being fast enough to keep the GPU busy.

for a 240hz monitor you will be better off with a i5 8600k with a z370 board- doesn't have to be a top of the line, but has to support overclocking.
you don't need 32gb of ram, there is no difference between 16 and 32 for gaming.
1000w psu is overkill, 750w semi modular is more then sufficient.

More likely that your motherboard is in dual channel mode than something with firmware, go into your bios and see if it detects all 4 sticks of RAM, if so you may need to simply enable quad channel mode.

Kidding...If you have the money choose Corsair or Nzxt their fans and Software is easier to use..but between those 2 i'd choose the CM.
Deepcool is kinda budget oriented manufacturer imo..they make decent fans and cooling system and thats about it.

It's okay, pretty shit if you ask me, but I messed with it once in a blue moon and that's about it! I imagine deep cool wont be good either. When you buy corsair fans, you pay for the best UI out there and great cooling and colors. I prefer Corsair and their super expensive fans, but didnt have the cash.

I have Coolermaster fans and my CPU stays pretty cool, but its also on a 360MM AIO. More Importantly of my airflow, my GPU card stays pretty cool too. I have not tried DeepCool but I've had good luck with the Coolermaster fans

Justinzonfire got a reaction from lwoodyy in How important is it to put RAM into the optimised slots?
You would essentially be running your ram from Dual channel to single channel, so the BANDWIDTH is cut in half, not the speed but it will be slower for sure. pretty important

Edit: You may or may not notice however since all of the numbers on the channel is POTENTIAL speed and not actual speed.

Justinzonfire reacted to Jurrunio in Bottleneck for this card and CPU?
my choice will be EVGA's 3 slot single fan 2060. Among cheaper 2060 that's in your budget (they all perform similarly, except dual slot single fan ones being weaker) EVGA hs the best customer service team. Not much bottleneck at 1440p (depends on the game), higher resolution stresses out the GPU but hardly affects the CPU compared to the lower resolutions.

1st one to shoot down, it's one of the worse 1070s, performs like a 1660ti, costs more.

cheap but more of a 1080p card

cooling and noise aren't that good.

Getting to 5GHz isn't that hard as long as you have adequate cooling. Some chips need more voltage than others.

It's going to take trial and error to find the voltage.  If you have a good chip and decent cooling, you could 24/7 5Ghz...lots of people do.

I have a 2080 ti, and as long as you lower settings you should have no problems hitting 144hz, both in 1440p or 1080p, especially in Esports titles
