  1. You would essentially be running your ram from Dual channel to single channel, so the BANDWIDTH is cut in half, not the speed but it will be slower for sure. pretty important Edit: You may or may not notice however since all of the numbers on the channel is POTENTIAL speed and not actual speed.
  2. RTX 2060 targets high-FPS 1080p and 60 FPS 1440p. If you are looking for better than 60FPS I would wait and safe up for a better one later! Your Processor is getting older and might bottleneck the GPU a little bit, but for now it should be fine. I also have no idea what i talk about most of the time so take this with a grain of salt. ?
  3. It's okay, pretty shit if you ask me, but I messed with it once in a blue moon and that's about it! I imagine deep cool wont be good either. When you buy corsair fans, you pay for the best UI out there and great cooling and colors. I prefer Corsair and their super expensive fans, but didnt have the cash.
  4. Gotcha! yeah 360MM AIO, but I didn't want to spend 3 hours overclocking! oh well, I'll do 5ghz and run Prime 95 for half an hour and see the temps! maybe it's in the 70's/80's and i can do that on the daily. Thanks!
  5. Sounds good try the EQ then just follow the youtube video then in fortnite make sure you select the INPUT as the "VB mic" or something like that
  6. I would try changing the cable, its just a standard printer cable I belive. Or you can download VB audio equalizer, then try in fortnite to point the Mic to the "Virtual VB USB". I have the snowball, the VB audio app (free download) and set fortnite to pick up the equalizer. Only downside is you have to have the app open for it to work.
  7. Correct. I thought I portrayed it that way, my bad! OP. If you want to torrent and use a VPN, you will not get a DMCA violation as long as the VPN is reputable and is of industry standard.
  8. I have Coolermaster fans and my CPU stays pretty cool, but its also on a 360MM AIO. More Importantly of my airflow, my GPU card stays pretty cool too. I have not tried DeepCool but I've had good luck with the Coolermaster fans
  9. A VPN would prevent the DMCA violation, however, I would talk to your telco about the one you got to see if you can dispute it. They would need to spoof your location, address, be in the same Dmark (I could be wrong on this one) and have the same service provider. Pretty unlikely that a Spoof could get you a strike. I suspect someone in your apartment complex/house/neighborhood Edit: I torrent all the time, highly recommend with a VPN service.
  10. Does anyone have a good baseline for overclocking an I9 that's not too high? I have a few tutorials (one from gigabyte themselves) on how to overclock to 5.0ghz on all cores. I'm more or less looking for 4.5-4.7Ghz on all cores without adding too much voltage. Or is it just something I have to spend a few hours on? attached is the pdf I plan to follow https://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/Global/multimedia/2/file/525/946.pdf
  11. sli is not optimal anyway haha never have I ever told anyone with a brain to go SLI unless its 2 of the best cards and they just want to flex on people. no sense in spending money on the sli anyway for the 2070 because your about at 1k might as well get the 2080ti!
  12. like 3 months haha I got it on sale for like 510 but it sells for $600. Ill probably just stick it out till 2 or 3 years of new cards
  13. Thanks for the opinion! Yeah Ill probably just stick with it for a few years then.
  14. It is! I think i want to more or less think about future proofing and price to performance if its worth the extra $200-$300. But sounds like no!
  15. Just got a new monitor, 1440p 144hz
  16. Is it worth it to me to sell my Used MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z and using that money and some to buy a 2080?

Someone DM buildzoid and have him make one quick!
  19. If you have a friends computer or another computer to work on, you can download the driver and transfer it over to your laptop with a USB. Otherwise, i would reload windows and make sure it's connected to the internet when done so that it automatically grabs these!
  20. I agree with this. Most of the time you want to lowermost settings anyway as an advantage in FPS and in spotting enemies (i.e. Motion Blur/Shadows)
  21. Just to make sure, you are plugging both into the graphics card and not the motherboard slots correct?
  22. If it comes out tomorrow, not a bad call. Sounds like it might be more expensive though.
  23. Try opening the back of it where the batteries lay and find a serial number or product number!
  24. Agreed " and yes, that’s his real name " Best part of the story
