  1. I will look for info on specific models tomorrow but right now I found this one - Samsung C24F390FHI. What can you say about it? Competitions are: Iiyama ProLite X2474HV-1 ASUS VA249NA BenQ GW2470HL Acer ED242QRwi any info on them?
  2. well thank you for your answer but the topic is about IPS/VA panels simply because i don't like TN colors. I'm more inclined to go for VA but then again i will take something that is objectively better for my conditions which are dark room and intensive usage.
  3. The only CPU upgrade you will get on your platform is FX-83xx, which is not bad but it's sub-optimal for quality gaming i would say. If you want to go for ryzen you would also have to replace mobo/ram. And even if you do you would end up with a good CPU and a weak GPU. So i suggest making some trade-offs: 1. Going for a new system but with a slightly weaker CPU that Ryzen 5, for example Ryzen 1200, which would be better at gaming than FX-83xx, and getting a better GPU, like 1050Ti or maybe even 1063. or 2. Getting used FX-8350 and correctly overcloking it like shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--hAweqSPxI and getting a much better GPU. 3. Intel platform can use DDR3 memory so you can save up on ram and spend it on better GPU/CPU. Answering to your current question STRICTLY - replacing GPU would be better. Check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATpkZLCoZSE - with right set-up you can achieve wonders.
  4. Hello. Given that there's things i like about both types and my current monitor is 7yo 60hz TN model, anything will be an upgrade as well as something will alwayws be a sacrifical lamb so the main question is more about prolonged usage. I live in a room whose windows go out on the dark side of the building so light is a huge issue as it's darker & colder here than outside even during daytime. I also use my pc during late evening & night time(up to 5m) very often and also i can spend more than 12 hours using it. So the question is which type is better for dark rooms(as i heard backlight is a huge problem for ips) and which doesn't get too hot from intensive usage(don't want to damage the details). My GPU is 1050Ti, so it's obvious that i'm not looking for high-end gaming solution. FHD@60hz 20-24inches would do fine. If you have any specific models, please share.
