I'm confused.
So, title is about iPhones and when you should buy them, but then it seems to go off-track and talk about when you can get deals on cpu/mobo combo's.
Like, I get how they got there but when I clicked the video I did not expect getting tips on when you can get deals on cpu/mobo parts.

Imo what you should have done is take the first 5 minutes, condense it to 2-3 minutes and keep it for the actual iPhone review.

Complete guesswork: if you want to evaluate a new employee it might be a good idea to tackle it a bit different, like, for editors, let them all create the same video but only release them here and let the community give feedback. People here know it's a nice community, we aren't toxic (most of us at least) and don't mind giving good and bad feedback. It's just a suggestion.

And would the idea of this CANZUK expanding to bring in the US at a later point enable some great opportunities?
 
It would be interesting to see this enable global LTT meetup events with no one needing to apply for a visa just to get lower latency when joining each other for an LTT gaming session

It definitely was something stupid: We didn't realize the drive wasn't fresh... The problem was just that it was already formatted. It wasn't talking about physical sector size, it was talking about the formatted cluster size.
 
WHY it wouldn't just nuke the drive when adding it to a zpool or otherwise say "hey, there's data on this drive, you sure about this fam" is beyond me.

? Damn, sorry to hear that him mentioning a jacket for 5 seconds (4:03-4:08) is such a big issue, especially considering it doesn't even break the flow of what he was saying (it's a quick little blurb amid the extremely engrossing and very exciting activity that is writing on HDDs with sharpies).

Longevity does definitely depend on use case, and I don't think it would be that long in an enterprise use case.  Maybe as a type of cache drive for video editing or the such?
