iPaperKill's Achievements

  1. the 4690k has a better TIM material between the lid and the cpu
  2. If you're talking strictly performance, it would be the X552MJ.
  3. I like the Asus and the MSI one. Both perform reasonably well and are reasonable quiet and those are my reasonable reasons why I chose those reasonably priced and reasonably performing R9 380s.
  4. Lol I realized that was for my second account... I'm such a dumbbell.
  5. Hello people. I received a private message on Tom's Hardware from user "cin19". Here's what it read: To: iPaperkill From: tomshardware Sent on: March 15, 2015 12:20 PM Hello iPaperkill, Your account at Tom's Hardware has been banned by cin19. The following are the details of your ban - "Forbid voting" In "Forbid voting" In "Forbid voting" In Until 16/03/2115 02:23"Forbid voting" In Until 16/03/2115 02:23"Forbid voting" In Until 16/03/2115 02:23"Forbid voting" In Until 16/03/2115 02:23"Forbid voting" In Until 16/03/2115 02:23 Reason for the Ban: one user and two accounts. Please be sure to review the reason you were banned, and double-check the Tom's Hardware Rules of Conduct and Terms of Use. ~ The Tom's Hardware Community Team I have 2 Tom's Hardware accounts - "iPaperKill" and "iPaperKillz". My first account was "iPaperKill" but I forgot the password for it and I could not retrieve the password as I had forgotten the password to my old email "ipaperkill@gmail.com". Therefore, I made a new Gmail account and Tom's Hardware account with the name iPaperKillz (it sounded cool). I had just made a reply with "iPaperKill" on a thread and when I got my new account, I reposted EXACTLY what I had said with my old account on my new account "iPaperKillz" and even stated that if you wanted to reply or upvote my post, do it to the new one on "iPaperKillz". However, apparently user "cin19" mistook that for trying to upvote my own post or something of that sort and banned me. I have no idea how to contact higher ups in Tom's Hardware about my situation so I turned to my second most viewed forum, LTT. Please help! I would love to help more people on Tom's Hardware but I'm currently banned and I do not want to start a new account as all my achievements would be gone (I love collecting achievements).
  6. It's not necessary, but it is recommended by many in case you forget to discharge all the static or you build up too much.
  7. The Razer Green switch is very much like the MX Blue, just that it is a bit heavier, even though Razer claims that it is the same (50g). If you are interested, the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate will be your best choice as it has a vibrant green backlight and is well constructed. If you need a wristrest, I suggest getting an external one such as the 3M one. If you want a real MX Blue keyboard, I suggest the Ducky Shine 3/4 or the K70 RGB MX Blue (if you can find it). 8. IMHO Corsair's quality of products has been going down. Ik that it's hard to come up with new ideas nowadays. However, even if they can't think of new ideas, they can at least make current products better. The old Corsair was about PC enthusiasts. The would come up with products with the PC enthusiast in mind such as the 800D and the 900D. The new Corsair, however, is more interested in profit IMHO. For example, the K40 RGB. It looks great and comes at a decent-ish cost. But a PC enthusiast would not get one because it doesn't have any groundbreaking features that we enthusiasts are interested in + the fact that it's basically a normal keyboard with some flashy lights on it. I think the new Strafe is quite ugly. I usually don't call products "ugly" I just say that it's not geared for my style. However, the single red backlighting, the ugly keycap font and the fact that it gives you a "gamer-y" feel doesn't come up to par with products that Corsair has released in the past. Corsair, please don't sue me.
  9. I suggest you go for it. Like Linus said in his review of the Blade 2015, its an excellent laptop / notebook and the only drawback is that it is very premiumly priced. So, if you have the cash to spend on a very nice and premium laptop / notebook, you should get it.
  10. Get a Corsair M45 or Saber RGB. They're smaller than the Deathadder which you say is too big for you. I personally recommend the M45 as I feel it has better ergonomics and tracking than the Saber RGB (Optical). But, if you want the fancy RGB LEDs on the Saber, get the Optical version. Much better tracking compared to the Laser one IMHO.
  11. I think I heard it in the latest WAN Show. I was eating chips when I was watching the stream so I couldn't focus on it properly.
  12. Try a SSD roundup. Many people (including you Linus) say that an SSD makes your PC much faster but they do not say which SSD to get. If not, do more watercooling stuff.
  13. Dear Linus Media Group, Thank you for opening my eyes to the amazing and wonderful Technology Industry. I went from thinking that the amount of RAM (Random Access Memory) I had was equal to my Hard Drive because everyone used the term "memory" on it to learning advanced technological skills and terms, as well as learning to build a PC without googling everything as I can just watch any of your wonderful and well-thought out build guides. I first found the channel "NCIXcom" on Youtube when I was a PC N00B  and I wanted to know about different mechanical keyswitch types and I found an episode of "NCIX Tech Tips" explaining in detail just what I had wanted. Since then, I have shared the video with my friends when I tell them to switch to a mechanical keyboard and they are thankful when they get their Cherry MX Blue keyboards (That's the only one I tell them to get because it's the best IMHO). After finding NCIXcom, I found out that a guy named "Linus" was starting his own channel dedicated to Technology. I later found out that this random dude named "Linus" was the host of NCIX Tech Tips and thus, I subscribed to him and it was one of the best things I have ever done. I know that I have not been very active in the LinusTechTips forum, but I hope you can see where I'm coming from as I'm truly thankful for your (Linus Media Group) contribution to the Technology scene. I am just a teenager (12) and so, people underestimate my knowledge about computers... until I show them it... This isn't some ass that I just wrote in order to win the giveaway, but instead a thank you letter from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for all your hard work and effort over the past FIVE years. I think that it's truly amazing that you (Linus) and your crew (Linus Media Group) can make such eye-opening and good content EVERYDAY, and I hope you will keep it up. THANX! P.S. MOAR BUILD GUIDES & Astro A40 (With The Mixamp Pro) Review! I wanna see how it stacks up to the Audio Technica ATH-AG1 and the Steelseries 9H, which are all used for competitive gaming (eSports).
