This will likely take days / weeks to resolve and result in alot of lost revenue for LTT.

lost reacted to hishnash in The Glaring Problem with Gaming Monitors
As a Mac users I never understood why all the other monitors are such poor matt finishes.
These days one can get good glass etching finishes on glass footed panels that provide much better anti glare than the transitional mat plastic finish and provide much better optimal clarity if you need to avoid bright glare.
And even with pure glossy screens, with the correct coating they are still very useable without giving up any of the clarity.
But then again im one of those developers who will spend hours and hours pixel peeping just to make sure everything is perfectly aligned and matches the device scaling I hat it even if there is a slightest miss-alignment and thus blurry edge.

lost got a reaction from HOOTSMON in GTA 5 frame rate drops with 1080ti?
Are you running ultra grass in settings.
that kills frame rate
mid 30s sound about right in the hills
no card can handle ultra grass without frame drops
try getting grass to high not too much difference

Finally, no more of USB 3.0's bent header pins (they bend far easier than USB 1.1-2.0 pins).

lost reacted to middleclasspoor in Which software do you guys use I order to back up your drives?
Macrium 'Reflect' - free version provides full volume imaging and differential backups.
It provides automatic scheduling as well.
This software has saved me on multiple occasions for restoring failed drives to new ones (bare metal restore).

I pay for 30 mbit, internet is always between 25-30 mbit. I'm talking about my dorm room here, if that matters.
Thanks, will try!
Just downloaded, I'll see if it's any better. Thanks for the suggestion!

lost reacted to kirashi in Windows Live Mail Free Alternatives
There's The Bat!, emClient, FossaMail, MailBird, and PostBox, the latter three of which are actually based on the Thunderbird core.
All of them cost money, apart from FossaMail which is actually made by the developers of PaleMoon, the 64-bit Firefox clone.
I used the Bat! years ago, when it was one of the only other decent email clients out there.
Since then, I usually opt for WebMail, but completely understand there are many of the older generation who won't giveup their desktop clients.
I've had a chance to play with both PostBox and MailBird, and would lean toward either of the two for simplicity.
I still cannot decide between the two myself, so it would be awesome if someone would compare the two.

Microsoft is axing Windows Live Mail.
Well, they did, back in 2012.

I use one called driver pack solution. You have to download it, some computers only run it if you double click the autorun file.
