fargonaz got a reaction from BiG StroOnZ in MMO Mouse with Thumb Support/Rest?
Oh Oh Oh, thanks so much for this thread!

I just ordered one of these https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Impact-Buttons-Precision-Programmable.
I'll let you know how it goes.  I have the scimitar and while it's OK, it's not great and the thumbrest is what I have been missing in my gaming mice, that is what I thank you for bringing to light.

    Thanks

I have three right now. I'm hoping to find one that fits my preferences completely so that I don't have to switch between them.

Logitech MX Master: Completely in love with the feel of holding this mouse, but lacks extra buttons for my MMO gaming.

Logitech G502: Similar feel to the MX Master, but feels a bit too small. Extra buttons on the side are nice. This is kind of the in-between, and is least used.

Logitech G600: I've found it very useful for MMO gaming (RuneScape 3), but only use it when needed because of the lack of a thumb rest.

Does a mouse exist that combines both my most important preferences - thumb support/rest and array of thumb buttons for MMO gaming?

IIRC 100/200 chipset is 6000 & 7000 compatible and 300 is 8000 & 9000 compatible so I'm pretty sure the answer would be no, she couldn't go from 7000 to 8000 without a board swap.

    Sorry dude.

Sounds like the lawyer just wasn't up to the task. Some people just can't handle the pressure of highly public positions.

That's not how the world works. If you are working for a company and develope technology using that companies resources while being paid by said company then the company owns the technology and not you. You have 0 say in how it is used but you do have a say in if you want to continue working their or not. If they don't like it then they can simply quit and Microsoft will simply replace them. Having funding for research and development is important so I am pretty sure Microsoft wont be giving up on this contract over some employees disapproval.

This contract has as many as 100,000 HoloLens Devices involved. Microsoft would never pull out of this agreement.

Also, less than 1% of Microsoft's workforce has signed this letter

Another possibility to check for some CPU from that time, which will fit in that socket, but maybe runs faster, if you need a faster NAS. Of course, parts are possibly not new and used, but cheap alternative instead of a complete upgrade. :3

10 for 256? i'll take that, as long as i can install windows in it, use it as boot disk. Everything else on a separate disk.
But only if it also has another m.2 or at least a couple of sata port. i don't wanna stuck in that disk forever.

M.2 is virtually cost no space. Its more logical than giving free onboard ssd.

Putting a drive on the motherboard wont benefit anyone, adds cost to the manufacturer and low demand on the users.
Harddrive tech is evolving fast, in term of technology and also capacity.
Would you risk putting a say 64gb onboard ssd and will be absolete once your competitor put 96gb on theirs a week later?
Just look at the smartphone industry, everyone is racing to give bigger numbers that we don't need.
12gb of ram on a phone? who needs that?

Maybe? Depends how much memory you get for that money and how much I trust the motherboard, since you get super screwed if your motherboard dies and all your data goes with it as opposed to just losing the motherboard.

In that case only if it's removable like @TempestCatto mentioned. Basically just a motherboard + SSD bundle.

Like it comes with some SSD space, or you mount the drives to the mobo? M.2 is a very nice form factor so if its the latter then hell yah, i have a 250gb NVME drive sitting doing nothing atm

Only if I can remove and replace it. If it's soldered, it can kindly fuck off. We buy and build PC's with parts we choose, we want, we need, we love. We can't be held back by stuff like that. I mean personally, even on a laptop I hate it (though really small form factors I can understand). I think the enthusiast community would disown any product (maybe even manufacture) like that for desktop PC's.

Why would I? That's basically what M.2 is. I guess there's a case for it with super low end stuff that uses eMMC storage, but that's about it.

    Edit:
If you mean Optane motherboards like Gigabyte's -OP series then sure, those are actually pretty neat. And they're cheaper than a separate Optane module.
