  1. Do we have a better solution? Do we know why this is happening, it started happening to me also and i hate it
  2. I find belkin to be quite reliable, the ones that I use tend to have a cable and telephone protecter as well but that doesnt get used. Some companies offer quite high warranties (+$10,000) but they tend to come with a pricetag. These are worth it, as just imagine if your $2000 pc died.
  3. It does cost a bit to glaze them , so no. IN ALL SERIOUSNESS it depends Are you a student? Has your school registered for onthehub? Do you happen to have an old windows 7/8/8.1 license laying around? Why not use linux? If you dont wish to spend full price have you looked on /r/microsoftsoftwareswap/
  4. Brisbane is enjoying the cold, but clear weather.
  5. I cant get a new motherboard which fits my current cpu - There are no more socket 1155 motherboards being made.
  6. Sorry I just realised it was in the wrong area. Seeing the motherboard is two years out of warranty I would assume I wouldnt be able to RMA it now, correct me if im wrong.
  7. So about 1/2 a week ago my desktop died and we have come to find it was either the motherboard or the CPU. My old motherboard was a Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H and my old CPU was an Intel i5-3470. I bought these around December 2012, so it has lasted me two years now. Does anyone have any suggestions on replacements for Motherboard and CPU? I'd prefer an Asus motherboard, and an Intel CPU.
  8. UPDATE: I am now in a reboot cycle still, but now all i have plugged in my USB Keyboard and USB Mouse, i get this on every few reboots when it gets to bios. (I stole this image from someone who had a slightly different issue to me but had the same screen)
  9. So i turned off my computer (Working fine), went out to a friends and when I came back to turn on my PC I found it would try boot, but after 1-2 seconds it would turn off, then try the same. I have reseated all the cables, the ram, the CMOS battery, removed the graphics card, disconnected Hard Drives and DVD drive, done a PSU check with the paper clip. My Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H. This system has been running fine, and this just happened today. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  10. So my current phone (LG Optimus L7 P705) is acting up majorly again, and its also time for a new phone. I have been looking at the Asus Zenfone 2 (5inch version) which has just gone up on Amazon, and if I was to get it, i would have to ship it to a U.S. postal box which then ships it to Australia. I have two questions. 1) Will this version of the phone work on the Optus network in Australia? 2) Is it worth getting it on Amazon US or should I wait for it to come out in Australian markets?

  12. This seems like something that could be very useful for frequent international flyers, with the ability to save information so that the form doesnt have to be filled out every time. This trial is currently only for departures and still requires a customs office to look through the printed version of the card.
