  1. Amazon had a lightning deal for $118 so I grabbed a second one. I'd really prefer the storage combined but don't know if there are any risks involved.. Any tips? Any tutorials that can ensure I do it correctly? This is my first time so I want to make sure I do it the right way.. Are there reasons I shouldn't do it? Is a drive more likely to fail in RAID 0? I will keep a backup so I'm not worried about losing data. I have a Ryzen system with specs in sig.
  2. I considered that one in the past.. Should be a great display!
  3. So it's a necessity? I used this one for a while and loved it! And it's IPS, same panel Acer used in Predator displays.. They make a similar model that's a TN panel so it's cheaper but color wont be as good..
  4. If the price difference isn't an absurd amount, I would definitely choose the 3600mhz kit.. Always better to be safe than sorry.. But honestly, if it's a hassle, don't even worry about it.. I can't see the performance difference between 3200 and 3600 being enough to jump through hoops if you already own a kit.. I planned on upgrading to Zen 2 when I built my system which is one reason I got a 3600c16 b die kit.. Just to be on the safe side..But I wouldn't recommend that if you're on a budget or don't care to overclock..
  5. Thanks for your sharing! I like the bezel thing, that's pretty cool and may be convincing enough in the end lol. How's the tracking in your experience? Have you tried other ones at all?
  6. Gear OS isn't good enough? Sorry, I'm just confused.. Huawei uses Wear OS by google, that's a good choice over a Samsung?
  7. My girlfriend has the 3rd series and she already want's something different.. I personally wouldn't buy Apple if it was 75% off..
  8. Which smartwatch would you choose and WHY??? I'm looking for a new one to replace my 1.5yr old Fitbit Blaze that I got to keep track of everything and I really need some help here as I can't decide.. Fitbit has really great tracking so I want something that can at least track pretty well (steps, activities, sleep, heart rate, etc..) Ones I'm looking at right now are the Samsung Galaxy, Gear S3 Frontier, Ticwatch Pro, Huawei Watch 2.. I think Wear OS would be great because I love my Android, which also happens to be Samsung (this time around anyway).. So I think either might work well for me.. I work construction and have a very active lifestyle so this isn't just for looks or luxury, I actually like to keep track and compete with friends and family. I also need, or want, to answer calls with my watch because it's a pain pulling out my phone every time it goes off while I'm working.. Please share you're experiences and help me decide which route to take.. I keep getting stuck each time I find one I might like.. Maybe your experiences can help me or others.. Thanks!!!
  9. I would simply wait for Zen 2.. I had a 9700K @ 5.2GHz paired with a 2080 FTW3, that I unfortunately ended up selling because I wanted to support the great things AMD is doing for the industry right now.. Zen 2 may not be the BEST gaming CPU, but I'll be damned if they're not on par with current Intel CPUs, BUTTTTTT offer MORE cores for less money.. The 3900X (which I have my eyes on) will be the same price as the 9900K, most likely match it in gaming performance, but CRUSH it in everything else due to it's 12 core/24 thread design.. Right now I have a Ryzen 2600 (placeholder) with fast RAM and the Radeon VII and since I play at 1440p, I DO NOT see much of a difference, if ANY, compared to my 9700K/2080 build that I had before.. AND, you can get an awesome motherboard with PCIe 4.0 if you grab an X570 motherboard, which by the way, all look fucking amazing.. Makes Z390 look premature.. AND you don't even need the 3900X, I'm also considering the 3700X/3800X as they are 8 core/16 thread beasts, just like the 9900K, for LESS money!!! Ya, if you get an X570, the prices might level out compared to Intel, but hey, you'll have a badass motherboard.. High end X470 boards will also be great choices for the most part.. I have the Crosshair VII right now and it'll probably be great for Zen 2, but man I want X570.. WAITTT for at least benchmarks if you want, I'll be buying as soon as possible..
  10. Either buy a motherboard that supports updating without a CPU or wait until motherboard manufacturers start shipping their X470/B450 boards with updated BIOSes.. Which quite a few will.. This is the same thing that happens when a new processor is released almost every time.. You almost always have to update the BIOS if you're trying to use previous generation motherboards with the newer generation processors.. At least AMD is giving you that option.. Intel just doesn't give a fuck..
  11. The Crosshair VII, the motherboard I use, has a flashback feature where you don't need a previous gen CPU to update the BIOS.. If you get an X470 motherboard and it's not already updated by the manufacturer to support the new CPUs, you will need a last gen CPU to enable compatibility with the newer CPU (BIOS update)..
  12. Are you sure about that? I don't think so.. The X470 Prime Pro doesn't have the buttons for flashback like the Crosshair has..
  13. AMD. If you plan to use the PC for a few years I think you'll be better off with SMT (hyperthreading)..
  14. If you're not upgrading RAM in the near future, get 2x4GB instead of 1X8GB. Dual channel alone will increase performance.. That motherboard is iffy by will probably hold up.. If it doesn't dig into the budget much, try to get a Pro4 by Asrock. I don't know what that GPU is costing you but the RX 580 is usually cheaper and outperforms most of the time. If you don't need Nvidia for specific programs, I would go AMD.. I'm not sure about that PSU, but one thing you don't want to do is cheap out on one.. I'm not sure where you're located but in my SIG you'll see a PSU tier list. Anything above C should be fine.. Tier B and higher is recommended. Also, next time, make a list of the parts, like models, you're using as most of us know what they are without needing a link.. Or at least hyperlink the text..
  15. I have the Seasonic prime ultra titanium and my fan doesn't make any noise.. Doesn't even spin with eco mode enabled.. I don't have experience with the RMi series.. If you want quiet just buy the best like I did. The Seasonic has the best cybenetics score for being quiet.. But they do use a cheap fan, which most people that don't have the unit like to complain about.. Fan doesn't matter if you don't need it lol.
  16. Please show comparisons to something.. I've never used geek bench and would love to see what similar CPUs score.. I would just search for it but I forgot how.. ?
  17. And I was literally just about to comment and tell you to make sure something was plugged into the CPU fan header (doesn't have to be specifically the CPU fan).. Glad you figured it out! Enjoy your PC!
  18. The problem is, we don't know what OP is doing.. But you may be right either way..
  19. Why? Also, I'm more interested in total cost and not just what 2 parts cost.. OP gave minimum information to go off of but said for a "budget setup," in which case, I would not go that route..

  21. I watch his videos.. That's why I didn't try MSI before lol. He stated he wouldn't buy MSI due to it not having offset voltage.. At the time, I didn't know what all those things meant.. Now I'm aware it's not that important lol. He does make great videos, though, and I at least skim through most of the important ones..
  22. Not to ignore them.. If they're out I will most certainly take them into consideration.. I'm just not waiting to buy stuff.. I also think the Crosshair VIII Hero will be great! I kind of just like trying new things lol. I've tried Gigabyte and Asus high end on Z390 and X470, now I want to try something different and MSI has a board that appeals to me.. Why? Just because of the VRMs? Or is it the features..? Don't get me wrong, if I have the money when it comes time to buy, the Extreme is #1 on my list.. Godlike is 2nd.. The Master doesn't really appeal to me this time around.. I loved the Aorus Ultra I had for Z390, but I feel there are better options this time around.. (I'm not particularly concerned about VRMs unless a board is seriously lacking. I'm also not buying a 16 core processor).
