  1. Revert back until you need a 3000 series BIOS. Maybe by then we'll have everything smoothed out..
  2. Update BIOS. Fresh install of Windows. Update important drivers from motherboard manufacturer (if the internet, audio, USBs, etc works I don't update a drivers that aren't necessary). Make sure you install AMD chipset driver. I prefer that link over the motherboards because it usually tries installing GPU drivers with it IIRC.. Use Ryzen Balanced plan afterwards. Set BIOS to default and set XMP yourself along with anything else you might need optimized like PBO/Auto OC.. Probably missing a few things but there a start..
  3. Try removing the RAM and trying one in each slot until it works and posts. I could not get my MEG ACE to post whatsoever until I experimented with the memory configuration. I took both out and tried one at a time to ensure each slot worked and then made sure slot 2 worked before I added the second to slot 4. Weird, I know.. Don't know if that will help but just try to experiment with trial and error..
  4. I'm sorry, "Armoury Crate." There was no option for just Aura Sync on the Heros support page so I downloaded it from the link I provided above.. I figured that's what you were using and it doesn't have all the features Aura Sync (lighting control) does, at least when I used it for the X570 VIII Hero.
  5. Install the latest version of Aura Sync, this, and delete that "crate box" shit. Worked for me on my VIII Hero.
  6. First time I noticed this as I'm usually (un)installing most things inside my case.. Is bending okay? And can a CPU cooler (my waterblock), be too tight? Thxx!
  7. Fuck yes! I did that with a Ryzen 2600 and VII.
  8. What does that have to do with no one using it? Building an entire PC around that would be quite stupid, I don't disagree with that.. Doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose.. So their bias created internal conflicts? They can't fix that without giving AMD more credit..
  9. That's pretty good. I overclocked mine to 4.3 as well at 1.38v and haven't had any issues yet. PBO/Auto OC also does nothing special for me..
  10. Since my original reply was deleted let me show you how Google works.. Type 3700X vs 9900K in the search bar and then please evaluate your argument. Just because knowledgeable people don't use it as their primary source for benchmarks, doesn't make it irrelevant for newcomers and those less informed.. I guess there's a chance I'm the only person in the world that uses it but the thousands of new benches on there everyday tell another story.. It's Interesting that you think that..
  11. Like $300 at best.. The storage definitely has value that no one else will see so like mentioned above, keep it and leave a 500GB SSD and the HDD only. I would ask for $6-700 and take $5-600.. Maybe you'll get $700 but I highly doubt $800.. Try r/hardwareswap on reddit, I buy and sell almost everything on there with good luck.. I don't know.. I tried selling my Ryzen 2600 Vega 64 LC PC and no one even knows AMD is a thing, I ended up just parting out what I didn't want and upgraded... If it said like Intel I5 or I7 it would sell easily and it doesn't even matter what generation.. And that's how I bought my I7 7700HQ laptop w/GTX 1060 before I got into computers heavily, I saw I7 and that was it I thought it was the best lol. The 1080 and storage definitely has value, though..
  12. I wouldn't expect more than 4 or $500 at best..
  13. Sell 1600 and pop in a 3600, you'll get way more..
  14. OK fine.. I used the X470 Gaming 7 and Z390 Aorus Ultra and overclocking my CPU and RAM was not an issue whatsoever.. I guess the lower end is worse.. The Gaming 7 couldn't run my RAM higher than my C7H but I did like the features on the Gaming 7 more than my C7H, honestly.. I just sold my C8H and bought the MEG ACE because it's not all that.. That's up to you.. I think either will be fine as long as you're not overclocking (no point really anyway)..
  15. I would prefer the X570 personally but the Tomahawk is a great board and should handle a stock 3900X just fine. They both have BIOS flashback and the Gigabyte BIOS is just fine, not sure why everyone wines about it.. It might be a little harder to use but it works..
  16. They're pretty dumb for doing this and it's almost the sole reason (besides only 1 addressable header) I decided against the Phantom Gaming X. And if they're going to recommend a product they need to fucking link it. I too have the PC-O11 Dynamic and no that right angle will not work that's already built into the cases wiring. Not only that but since my case already utilizes a right angle connector who the fuck knows if another right angle (creating 180 degrees) would even fucking work. Extremely poor over sight on their part.
  17. 3600 is actually the sweet spot for Ryzen 3000. Cl16 is preferred but Cl18 is fine.
  18. Why? Legit question? I'm thinking about switching to the MEG ACE but am curious why you recommend the Creation? I thought about that board as well.. The Taichi I wouldn't exactly recommend for anyone interested in RGB or using the USB C header.. The Taichi and Phantom Gaming X both only have one addressable header for RGB which is quite sad, honestly and the Type C header is in the way of the first GPU slot so you either don't use the header or you use the second GPU slot. I've now seen 2 people complain about that and one was on this forum and they also complained about the RAM so I am definitely turned off of this board at the moment and this IS a board I wanted (Phantom Gaming X)!
  19. I play 1440p with a Radeon VII and it's just fine. I get 130+ in the games I play which is APEX and BFV mostly. I have Anthem, Far Cry 5, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil and maybe another one or two that I can check real quick if you want.. I actually just upgraded to 3440x1440 UW and love it with my Radeon VII. Apex still does over 100FPS and I haven't really played BFV yet.. I would say 2070+ (non super) is fine for 1440p. Lower some settings if you have to, it's really not a big deal. Shit I was playing 4K 60hz lovely with my Vega 64 LC.
  20. Yes, should be great for 1440p!
  21. PBO isn't working on my X570 Crosshair VIII Hero. At least not really (at least I don't think so).. I see a lot of posts/videos saying there's no need to OC these CPUs.. Almost every benchmark I run gets better results when I use a manual OC with OC'd RAM. Now whether that OC is worth it or not, I don't know.. At least with a manual OC you know what's happening under the hood without monitoring everything 24/7.. I can't break 200pts for single score in r15 or 2,000pts for multi-core with PBO/Stock settings but with a manual OC I'm getting 203pts single core and 2,200+ multi-core.
