  1. I am totally confused. A few days ago I noticed that my monitor was not going to sleep. I went into its settings and set everything back to default. I then decided it was time for a cleaning anyway, and just reformatted and reinstalled Windows 10, figuring it would fix the problem and give me a nice clean install. Still have the problem. I tried a different mouse, thinking maybe its sensor was keeping the computer awake. I unplugged the peripherals. I tried setting the computer to sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity, and it stays awake. I'm kinda running out of ideas. Anybody else ever see this before? Thanks in advance for any help!
  2. I think you can use Acronis Disk Director to merge it back into one drive. But I would backup everything first just in case something goes wrong.
  3. @vukos Yep, fired it up yesterday and played with it a bit. I just got it so I have to remember how to use the damned thing, its been a LONG time since I used one.
  4. I'm sure a few will know what this is, but most prob won't. This is the first computer I ever got to play with. I was 5 or 6 years old when my mom brought it home. It's came with 80kb of ram! And the data drives used a cassette. Very cool little computer. This has been the one computer I really wanted to complete my collection (as if I could ever call it complete.)
  5. I have run into the issue of Windows deactivating whenever I change different components in my pc. I understand its something to do with Windows kind of taking a "snapshot" to identify your pc. I think Linus mentioned this in a video semi recently.
  6. I work in IT, both as a network admin at a public safety center (police/fire) building, and also do computer repairs on the side. At the network admin job I have a simple Dell desktop setup, i7,16gb ram, 512tb ssd and 2tb mechanical drive, and a 4 gb video card, dont even remember what brand it is. For mobile work from there I just have a spare Panasonic Toughbook that isn't assigned to a cruiser. My personal carry laptop is actually a small Samsung Chromebook. I like it that I can carry and use it all day and sometimes go more than a day without a charge.
  7. I see they sell on amazon also for a few bucks more. If your worried about return policy just buy it there. Amazons return policy is crazy easy.
  8. Also there may come a point that Youtube further cracks down on what you want to post and Floatplane is the perfect answer to that. The cost of Float Plane is so cheap. I pay way more for all my other streaming video options.
  9. 2 at my desk at home, a desktop and laptop at work, 1 computer in my workshop at home, 1 laptop as a plex server in my camper, 1 as a plex server at home, 1 chromebook as my personal daily carry laptop. Iphone and tablet also always with me. I have other older systems that I keep more for collectors purposes. I have a working Windows 8 machine, a working Windows XP machine, an older laptop with Linux Mint. Various older computers, all the way down to my original 286 I built when I was in middle school, and a Osbourne Executive I got very cheap from a person who found it in a storage locker. Its my prize computer collectible.
