  1. So this issue has been for a few years now, but it would happen pretty rarely, now it happens every week, sometimes more often. My PC worked fine for a long time. Then suddenly a couple of years ago sometimes when I turn on my pc or after using it for a while it would start lagging/crashing programs until I get a blue screen. Then I would turn it off, turn it back on and it would say that it cannot find a bootable drive. Leaving it for a couple of hours off and trying to boot it again would boot windows successfully. But then this issue would become more and more frequent until I reinstall Windows - that would fix it for 3 - 4 months until it would happen again. I reinstalled windows a few more times and then I have decided to toss my ssd and bought a new one. Issue persists Lately the issue has become really frequent, I don't get blue screens anymore, but everything would randomly start barely working, programs would start crashing. Restarting does nothing or just leads me to a screen saying that it cannot find a bootable drive. What I found out - unplugging SSD and plugging it back, no matter if its the same port or a new one - would fix the issue for a week or so Any ideas what it could be? Windows 10 SSD: Samsung Evo 870 CPU: Intel i5-7600K GPU: GTX 1060 6GB Motherboard: MSI H110M PRO-VD PLUS
  2. We were thinking of this: LENOVO V330-15IKB i5-8250U 15.6inch TS But they are discontinued
  3. Hello so the situation is: Our developers are working with Linux Ubuntu OS. The problem is: last 5 laptops we purchased for them had issues with Linux. 2 of them were crashing randomly, because AMD processors were trying to save energy and that would cause a crash. We were not able to fix it, ended up returning these laptops. Lenovo V110 touch pad is not working on linux (thats actually not a problem for us) Other Lenovo HDMI port sometimes work sometimes don't And most recent DELL had fans always at a 100. We were able to fix this problem, but it then started crashing. Now after a month or two it seems to be stable So my question is: What Laptop should we get? At what should we look when picking a laptop? Specs we need: At least 256GB SSD 8GB or RAM Processor: Intell i5 8gen and up or equivalent GPU: Does not matter At least 1 HDMI port At least 2 USB ports Screen 15.6'' 1080p If keyboard had a keypad would also be nice If you have any suggestions at what to look or an actual laptop that works and you can recommend that would be greatly appreciated. I know there are some laptops specifically made for Linux like System76, Viking... but laptops like these are not sold in eastern Europe... (or at least where we live)
  4. Thank you both for suggestions. We probably will go with Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-53-58WV
  5. Well. Hes not a big gamer. Plays rarely (right now mainly Witcher 3). I'm afraid that 16/20 will cause laptop often overheat. (But that's mine non-educated in laptops opinion) Battery life does not really matter. (Ofc Longer is always better) I am from Lithuania. Basically all online stores here are in Lithuanian. These 2 are usually the ones you go get electronics from: http://www.skytech.lt/nesiojami-kompiuteriai-nesiojami-kompiuteriai-c-86_165_81.html https://www.kilobaitas.lt/Nesiojamieji_kompiuteriai/CatalogStore.aspx?CatID=PL_409 There's also these stores: https://pigu.lt/lt/kompiuteriai/nesiojami-kompiuteriai https://www.rde.lt/categories/lt/150/sort/1/filter/0_0_0_0/page/1/Nešiojami-kompiuteriai.html https://www.varle.lt/nesiojami-kompiuteriai/nesiojami-kompiuteriai/?f.s-rekomenduojama_paskirtis=Žaidimams Right now I am looking at these 3 laptops: http://www.skytech.lt/81lb003umx-lenovo-legion-y53015ich-black-156-ips-full-1920-1080-matt-intel-core--p-449981.html http://www.skytech.lt/81hd0023lt-lenovo-legion-y73015ich-black-156-ips-full-1920-1080-pixels-matt-inte-p-412404.html http://www.skytech.lt/273215557-dell-5590-156-ips-fhd-1920x1080-matt-intel-core-i79750h-8gb-ddr4-256gb-p-463965.html
  6. Hello, I am helping my friend to choose a laptop. Budget: 1500 Requirements: Storage: SSD (at least 256GB) and HDD GPU: preferably Nvidia 10 series Resolution: 1920x1080 full HD Screen size: at least 15.6'' Would be nice that it would not get very loud under pressure Longevity. Would like that the laptop would be usable in 4-6+ years Weight (up to 3.5 kg) Maybe anyone has suggestions? That would help us a lot Right now we are looking at: Dell G5 15 5590 Price: 1297Euros https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Gaming-Windows-i7-9750H-G5590-7679BLK-PUS/dp/B07R7XCZD7/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Dell+G5+15+(5590)&qid=1577278188&s=pc&sr=1-4 Lenovo Legion Y730-15ICH i7-8750H GTX 1050TI 16GB RAM i7-8750H GTX 1050TI 16GB RAM SSD 256GB & HDD 1TB 7200 RPM PRICE: 1212Euros https://www.lenovo.com/lt/lt/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-y-series/Lenovo-Legion-Y730-15ICH/p/88GMY701058 Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH i7-8750H GTX 1060 8GB RAM SSD 256GB & HDD 1TB 7200 RPM PRICE: 1135 Euros https://www.lenovo.com/lt/lt/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-y-series/Lenovo-Legion-Y530-15ICH/p/88GMY501020
  7. Found a list of compatible cables: https://www.reddit.com//r/Vive/wiki/cables Can confirm that amazon basics 5m hdmi works perfectly
  8. Hey, Recently I've bought HTC VIVE. And it's working perfectly. But to use it I always need to move my PC and monitor to the other part of the room and then connect it to the HTC VIVE hub. Could I just by any 5-7meter HDMI and USB, and use that to connect my PC to the hub? Or are these "special" HDMI, USB cables that come with HTC VIVE?
  9. Thanks for offer, but I am going with Logitech Z623. Hey, thanks for the offer, I have ordered Logitech Z623
  10. Good choice, her early work is the best. For the last couple of years nothing that exciting was released mainly just covers tho... I've started to listen more to Aerosmith's lately
  11. Thanks I will look into these. They're in my price range so thats good. I will still do some reviewing of these before I do my final decision. Thank you, I will sure look into these, but right now they are a bit out of my price range. Maybe I would be able to find used ones that work good Hi, so I usually order from a local reselers. Problem is their websites do not have English translations for some crazy reason. I will post a few links that you could look into, problem is they will not be in English. Maby Chrome will give you an option to translate the whole site in English tho... But feel free to post me amazon links as well. Usually I can find it here. Also just so you know. Right now I am just looking for speakers that I will use to have with my pc. I the future I am planning to buy a proper audio system for my living room. So these do not have to bet top of the line best ones http://www.skytech.lt/koloneles-koloneles-c-270_821_241.html?sand=0&pav=2&sort=5a&grp=1&page=1&pagesize=100 http://www.rde.lt/categories/lt/200/sort/2/filter/70.220_0_0_0/page/1/Muzikiniai-centrai.html http://www.rde.lt/categories/lt/163/sort/2/filter/50.200_0_0_0/page/1/Kompiuterinės-kolonėlės.html https://pigu.lt/lt/search?q=kolonėlės
