  1. Hey y'all, I've got an ITX case, the Silverstone SG13B sugo and I love it so far. However, my cables from the Power Supply Unit connecting to the mobo, GPU, hard drives etc. are too long and takes up what little space I have. Are there any sites (in the UK especially) that allows for custom length cables for your power supply unit? Thanks in advance, I won't read the replies until tomorrow since I'm going to sleep.
  2. Hey y'all, My Mini-ITX build is almost complete. All I need now is a SFX power supply that's 550w. What are some good brands that make small power supplies? I hears Silverstone made decent ones but they're never 550w like I want them to be but instead either 500w or 600w. What are your guises recommendation?
  3. This is rather a really stupid question I wanted to ask you guys and I want to make sure I'm making the right purchase. So my Mini-ITX build is almost complete, all I'm missing now is my GPU (Which I'm getting this Thursday on payday) then I can start gaming. I was thinking of getting the Zotac RTX 2070 mini which will fit in my Mini-ITX case. However a small thing concerns me when I started looking at the pictures of the GPU. I noticed that the plastic grills on one side of the GPU sticks out inwards (towards the RAM) and I'm kinda worred these plastic grills will interfere with my ram sticks. I attached the image below, as well as the mobo I'm using so I hope you guys can either confirm my concerns or call me out for being an idiot
  4. Just one last thing I want to mention: there might be a chance the motherboard I'm getting won't have the latest bios update for the newer Ryzen chips, and that I'd need a previous series CPU to update that. That's why I'm so hesitant with the Ryzen 5 3600, otherwise I'd choose that CPU immediately.
  5. God, I really want to but I'm such an impatient arse, but as of now all I was planning to get is the Mobo, CPU and RAM for now, then buy the remaining parts through black friday or cyber monday.
  6. I was thinking that. I don't do much other than light video editing (for meme purposes). But thank you for the tip, I didn't think of that.
  7. Title says it all. (Sorry for all these questions, I'm about to buy my parts next week so I want to make sure I get the best out of my performance) I've compared both of them side by side, and overall the Ryzen 5 3600 is better than the Ryzen 7 2700x. But my only concern is: is the loss of two cores really impactful? (R5 3600 only having 6 and R7 2700x having 8). I will be using either CPU primarily for gaming so does it really matter? Thanks in advance, I want to make sure I make the best purchase possible.
  8. Thanks for the reassurance y'all, I just needed to know whether I was making a mistake or nah
  9. Title says it all. I was planning to build a mini-ITX gaming PC that consisted of a Ryzen 7 2700x, RTX 2060 super MINI and 16GB of ram. I know thermal is a concern, as well as clearance but are there ITX cases viable to support the parts I was considering? Thanks in advance P.S I was considering the Fractal design 202 or RVZ02.
  10. Okay, I've managed to get everything figured out. This is what I did to solve it: I used Command prompt to wipe my NvMe, clean it and then convert it to GPT. From there, I managed to install it but did run into trouble, only because I had other HDD's plugged in, so I had to plug those out so windows didn't label the other drives as C: Now I'm running windows on my NvMe drive and everything feels 100 times faster.
  11. I'll give it a go then, I'll see what file type my NVME SSD prefers
  12. I think Windows would only accept one file type, trying others wouldn't really work as the installer would tell me that the drive isn't compatible
  13. The title says it all. I recently installed a Samsung EVO 970 500GB NVME SSD into my motherboards m.2 slot, making sure it was the correct/primary slot. At first, I tried using a USB stick to install windows 10 on my nvme but when I tried to select the drive, windows setup told me that they couldn't load or find a partition, even though there was one already created. I then went to my second option, cloning my current HDD OS to my NVME SSD. It was successfully cloned but when I tried to boot it up, windows set that I needed to insert a suitable boot drive. I looked into my BIOS to make sure my NVME drive shows up, and it does so I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyone know what the problem might be? My full specs are: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Ryzen 7 2700X GeForce RTX 2070 16GB of RAM 320GB 3.5 HDD (which is my current main drive) and as stated before Samsung EVO 970 500GB NVME SSD
  14. Hey y'all, I recently watched one of Linus Tech Tips videos about purchasing an old Dell Optiplex for cheap PC gaming. The PC originally came with a dual core CPU. He recommended that we'd upgrade to an Intel Quad core Q6600. I bought it cheap from eBay from a local seller, installed it today and was worried to find that there are still only two cores when the processor I bought was supposed to be a quad core. I even tried looking for updates but to no avail. Was a possibly scammed or is this PC possibly not recognizing the other two cores?
