  1. Just wondering how well it is or should I just vbios it to a vega 64? Bearing in mind it's my first time ocing and undervolt it. Never done it before but it runs stable (about a week now). Edit post just realsied the image was blurry. Updated with new ones.
  2. In the end I just went with a vega 56. Really unsure if it's worth me upgrading now but a lot of people were saying that my psu couldn't run it. Still wondering if it was a viable upgrade. Went with the vega 56 powercolor red dragon
  3. The retailer just sent me an email about dispatching it. I know people say it's cooler but like some people in this thread has already pointed out, it's only a few fps faster. My rx 480 gaming x edition didn't cause me any trouble in terms of loudness /:
  4. That's always seem to be the case lol. Reading reddit posts and just thinking about it. I mean I did just use my savings to buy the card as I seen from pc part picker that my psu was enough. It was only in the chat where people been telling me that I might run into trouble. If I do need it. I'll upgrade my psu in January but like you mentioned it should be fine (I hope).
  5. Ah all right thanks you. I'm more worried about the thermals for the Strix card to be honest. I just read that is really bad. I do plan on undervolting it right from the beginning though which is what causing me to overthink it. Also someone on a discord chat told me if I was to oc it. I might get trouble since I need a 750 watt psu to do so. Lol I was just asking because I asked this question on a pc part picker post and someone said that the Nitro plus version is like the liquid version, no idea why they mentioned it.
  6. Thanks you, I just saw that another retailer was selling the vega 64 for about a tenner more and now I'm debating to cancel it to get the Nitro + version over the Asus but I'm not sure. I should have mentioned the rig I'm using at the current moment; AMD - Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor MSI - B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory I'm wondering if I can just underclock and overclock it, I do wonder if I have enough headroom for the system. Thanks you for the sources now I don't really have to worry about my system not being able to power it. I do have a freesync monitor right now, although I've been thinking that my display port for my current gpu (RX 480) is either broken or not working or it's my monitor, I still have a year worth of warranty and didn't have anything else to test it with. Hoping when I get my vega card than I will be validate it. Should I just keep with the Asus card that I ordered or would I benefit from just getting the Nitro+ card?
  7. Hey all, first post here. I just wanted to know if anyone would recommend the Asus version of the Vega 64 (the strix oc) edition, I've seen everywhere else that, that gpu goes for well over 700 USD and the cheapest one I found is around 500 USD. Prices here are so expensive (living here in UK) but I wanted to upgrade my rx 480, wondering if this card is all right? I've seen people saying that there are some problems with the vrm temps but still is it worth getting? The other card I seen is vega 56 (which is cheaper by 60ish dollars) and that does have a power colour, asus and gigabyte variant or the 1070ti which is in between them both in terms of pricing, the reason why I'm asking is due to being anxious about the temps and I only got a 650watt psu (evga g2 650). Only reason why I would go for the vega 64 is because I heard it's the best AMD card at the moment and the price (with 3 free games, resident evil 2 remake, devil may cry 5 and division 2 which I'm actually interested in).
