  1. Well this is an interesting turn of events. I started fidgeting with the monitor's settings and saw it was set to dp format 1.1. Switched it to 1.2, tried out the 100hz thing - "input not supported". Then tried 85hz and... it worked! I managed to set the custom resolution and the problem i was seeing before with the tint is gone! HOWEVER according to dxdiag im still running at 75hz. Not that much of an issue now when my problem is gone, but you've toyed with my emotions by saing that attaining the coveted 100hz is possible, so the joy of my partial success is somewhat dampened
  2. It really would. Also, i tried 70Hz and got the no signal again. Is it possible that the windows display settings are overriding the nvidia control panel somehow and the monitor going into "i give up" mode due to that conflict?
  3. Goes into "no signal" again. I was hitting 100hz no problem with my previous GPU, so I doubt its the monitor being faulty.
  4. Hi, and thank you for the quick response! Unfortunately I did try creating a custom resolution. What happens is when I try to set it on 75 a window pops up saying "Duplicate resolution. Custom resolution 3440x1440 at 75Hz (32-bit) already exists in PC section." and nothing happens. When I do attempt to set it to 100Hz, despite the monitor being able to hit them with freesync on, the monitor just goes into "no signal" mode for the duration of the test.
  5. Hello guys,Apparently I'm having a version of a well known issue, but I wasn't able to find a solution.I have a 3 monitor setup, main one being an Acer XR341CK. I recently upgraded my GPU to an Asus Strix 1080ti - i got a good deal on it and despite not being able to use FreeSync to get to 100hz i figured the base 75 would be enough. However I began noticing that some of the text has been looking different on my primary monitor, some letters appearing as to have a slight tint to orange or to blue, overall looking "ugly". Today I realized, that when my monitor is on 75hz there must be some invisible vertical lines that change the color and shading of said letters - when i move the text window around it shifts like crazy when the window is going side to side, but stays with the same tint when moved pefectly up and down.I am guessing this has an impact on everything, but i've mostly noticed it when typing or browsing through windows explorer. The effect is especially obvious when there are a bunch of zeros together (000000) as the left side of each one of them is orange and the right side blue. The smaller the text is, the more noticeable the tint. Its a weird issue to describe. It isnt appearing on any of my other monitors. Any and all help would be much appreciated!PS: the monitor is connected via display port and set to its native 3440x1440 resolution.
  6. Hello guys, I used the search but couldnt find an answer to this, so if there is one - mea culpa. I am about to purchase a 1080ti FE on a very good deal, but i saw a pretty cheap ASUS Strix 1080ti cooler up for sale - the guy's card is water cooled, so he never used the cooler. Can i install the Asus Strix 1080ti cooler on my 1080 ti FE?
