Anyway to fix graphics card? (Physical Damage)
Petunia_55 replied to Petunia_55's topic in Troubleshooting
This sounds like a fun idea, especially if it works because I'd love the performance of a Titan X lol (much better than the 1070 I have) -

Alright thanks, I'll try that. After all someone gave it to me for nothing so I really have nothing to lose. -

So awhile ago I came into possession of a Nvidia Titan X Pascal, for free! However there is some very bad physical damage and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a way I can fix it or a service I can use.

I am purchasing a device in the near future that requires two usb 3.1 type b cables and I was looking for a cable that has two usb 3.1 type b male to a single usb c connector for use with my computer. It has to be a single usb type c as my computer only has a single usb c port and I would like to conserve usb type a connectors for use with other devices.

I should've mentioned, I was running it on a box, and only CPU and RAM were installed. It has a Start button, and it will not turn on unless i hold the reset switch.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try it when I get a chance

I have an ASUS z170 Maximus VIII Ranger Motherboard that I cannot get to boot. The RAM, CPU, and PSU have all been tested and working. The red LEDs along the bottom left of the board still turn on, but the Q-codes are stuck at 00, and the Over Current Protection on the PSU is tripped, as soon as I plug the board in. I can get the CPU fan to spin if I hold down the reset button on the PSU, but I can't get POST. I've tried clearing the BIOS, different DIMMs, but I can't get a display or a working board. Please leave comments and help. I can submit pictures later if requested. PSU: 500W Dell Unit CPU: i3-6100 RAM:Kingston KVR21N15D8/16 (1 x 16GB) Motherboard: Maximus VIII Ranger

Thanks for the help, I don't have the money to afford those kind of high-end items, My current rig has an i5-4460, r9 280x, and r7 240. Soon it will have a gtx 1070, but I'm removing the r7 240.

About 4 months or so ago I picked up an Ultra x3 1000w Power Supply, for around $10-$20. I haven't been able to find the exact model for sale anywhere. I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with this particular model, and if it has an 80 plus rating. I don't have any pictures at the moment, as it is in my PC.

Question about powering some cold cathode PC case lights
Petunia_55 replied to Petunia_55's topic in Power Supplies
Well I think the issue may be the controller because I got the two wires together and nothing, no lights -
Question about powering some cold cathode PC case lights

Well, sounds like I should switch to some 180W or something because atm there is no PSU in the case and I was using a paper clip to start the one I was using
