I have a bit of a strict budget on my current build, which is forcing me to start with a 1080p monitor and then later upgrade to a dual-monitor setup with a 1440p as the main focus. Because of this, i have fairly specific requirements on my monitors, for the sake of getting them to match. More or less, I'm looking for identical monitors in both 1080p and 1440p, so if anyone has any recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, I've done a good bit of research on monitors and feel like i know just enough to shoot myself in the ass budget-wise. I'm looking for IPS panels, thin bezels, and high refresh rates (more so on the 1440 than the 1080). So far my best-looking options are from Dell, the P2417H and S2417DG. The body styles are similar enough, though the only thing is that the 1440p monitor has a TN panel. This is unfortunate, as this will end up being my main monitor for work in the future, but if that's the only sacrifice it's liveable.
Has anyone else had a similar need in their search for an ideal setup, or have decent recommendations? I suppose just a really decent cheap 1440p monitor would solve my problems, as i could get two, but for the first monitor the max i could do is $300.
