I feel like it’s a commercial on tv: “There are great prizes to be won! Come join!” And then you get to the store: “Oh sorry you have to be signed up 3 weeks before the commercial came out”
Then what’s the point of the freaking commercial 😂😂😂

It was kinda bad as he encouraged people to join while mentioning the prizes, when obviously nobody CAN join "the event" now.

Honestly I don’t think Apple is still going to budge. However if the EU investigation shows that Apple needs to make messaging more connected between competitors that may change. It’s just really amusing that Google went this far to shame Apple to pretty much say their messages between iPhone and android are from technology from the 1920s, making Apple look bad.

I dont have much experience with that particular use case for a GPU. But the more VRAM the better I guess?
Will the 3090's 24GB be significant over the 4080's 16GB in the workload you are doing?

If its really really vram dependant you may wanna just go buy a used 3090 or two, theyre like 700$ each on ebay

For gaming definitely a 4080 for VRAM intensive applications 3090 (even though i don't really know the generational improvements of this gen in your specific use case).

This is a very good thing I feel. It's hard to say if it will be locked down to the EU only as it would be hard to say how apple would lock that down but only time will tell. I'm very excited as it would enable developers be able to have less restrictions. Like the webkit rule for example. I'm sick of webkit being the only browser engine allowed on IOS and it has caused me problems. And even with the Cons of sideloading, having less restrictions and being able to sideload is a good thing. If you are scared of viruses then that doesn't stop you from getting an anti virus like android has.
Remember what Linus said on the hot takes video:
"This is the thing that Apple users who argue about this seem to not really understand. The existence of alternate app stores does NOT in fact mean that you would not be able to use the official one."

I think apple is in a really tight corner now. It’s either comply with the DMA laws. Or leave Europe but lose ~24% of its revenue and on top of that probably risk country’s to quickly pass bills and get hit with a anti trust because of anti consumer and anti competitive behavior if they did that. And if they just try to Geo lock it, I feel like buying a iPhone from Europe will skyrocket. So either way it’s a lose lose for apple.

You could say the same thing about any regulation or legislation really.
The sad truth is that companies can not be completely unregulated, because they will end up using and abusing the powers they have to further their own agenda (make money) at the expense of others. 
A lot of countries has regulations regarding minimum wages, because if not then companies would pay their employees terrible wages. That is the government "running" companies by telling them how to treat their employees.
A lot of countries has regulations regarding how toxic chemicals should be disposed of. That is a government telling companies how to handle the material that the company owns. 
 
 
It is important to not view the world in black and white terms where "regulations = bad".
It is also important to note that the "free market" usually does not mean "no regulations", at least not in spirit. Free market (in spirit) usually means that companies are allowed to compete with one another and customers have choice. Monopolies and cartels for example are direct threat to the free market and because of this it is crucial to have regulations that makes forming such things difficult or impossible. Because without those regulations we will end up in a non-free market where customers do not have any choice and all the power lies with one or a few companies colluding.
 
 
 
 
Anyway I think this sounds good. If this gets enforced then I would actually be more willing to buy an iPhone.

By this logic then you should have no problem with companies like Microsoft, Apple and Google becoming monopolies and absorbing every other tech company out there giving you less choice and giving them full control. Because that's what you'll end up with if you just let bussiness run how they see fit, the biggest ones will become monopolies and absorb everything else around them to maintain their leadership. While definitely not perfect, regulation of business is definitely needed in many cases. At the end of the day giving the consumer more choice and protection isn't bad.
