  1. Apple: “We are banning your account because you are untrustworthy, aka we don’t you competing against us.” EU: “We are opening an investigation to see if Apple broke DMA.” Apple: “CRAP! Someone reinstate their account before we lose 10% of our net revenue!”
  2. So first if I get this in the wrong category then I apologize, as there is no VR section on the forum so I chose the best I could. So I hoping to get the Quest 3 for christmas. However I have been hit with an road block. I want to be able to play PCVR games which requires the Link cable. Now the cable costs $80 for the main cable. However I have been looking online for 3rd party ones that are in the $20 - $30 range and they say they work with the quest 3. Will those work good enough or should I shell out the extra cash to get the official cable?
  3. I feel like it’s a commercial on tv: “There are great prizes to be won! Come join!” And then you get to the store: “Oh sorry you have to be signed up 3 weeks before the commercial came out” Then what’s the point of the freaking commercial
  4. Linus: “It’s folding month! There are great prizes!” (Nov 24th wan show) (Also the folding signup) ”Entry ended on Oct 31st” Me: So that message was only for people that already signed up?
  5. Summary Once again Google is calling out Apple for not adopting RCS, by presenting an iPager, an way showing Apple they are using ‘outdated technology’ My thoughts Honestly I don’t think Apple is still going to budge. However if the EU investigation shows that Apple needs to make messaging more connected between competitors that may change. It’s just really amusing that Google went this far to shame Apple to pretty much say their messages between iPhone and android are from technology from the 1920s, making Apple look bad. 6. Between these 2 mesh systems. If Ethernet backhaul wasn't an option. Which one would be better. Trying to help someone that has 250mbps internet.
  7. Okay I won’t! Thank you again so much!
  8. Okay! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was having a panic moment and I just got a 3090 for my birthday and was afraid I had a bad cable as wasn’t going to be able to power it.
  9. So my PSU came with 2 PCIe cables, but one of them that has the end go into the PSU there is one pin missing and two wires is connected in one slot. The other cable doesn’t have this issue. Does this matter or is this a bad cable?
  10. Pretty much says it all. I want to get my video card upgraded because of the VRAM limitation I am currently having. So is it better to have an extra 16GB VRAM with a little less performance. or should I go with the 4080? 8GB currently isn't enough for me to run specific stuff and I'm hitting limits. What do you think? I can get a 3090 from ebay for around $950, but if I spend just a little more or close to the exact same I can get a 4080, but that only has 16gb of VRAM compared to the 3090 24gb. What should I do? Edit: Also it HAS to be a NVIDIA card. Amd card won't work for me.
  11. Summary In order to comply with EU laws according to an boomerang report. Apple is working on the ability to sideload in the future. Quotes My thoughts This is a very good thing I feel. It's hard to say if it will be locked down to the EU only as it would be hard to say how apple would lock that down but only time will tell. I'm very excited as it would enable developers be able to have less restrictions. Like the webkit rule for example. I'm sick of webkit being the only browser engine allowed on IOS and it has caused me problems. And even with the Cons of sideloading, having less restrictions and being able to sideload is a good thing. If you are scared of viruses then that doesn't stop you from getting an anti virus like android has. Remember what Linus said on the hot takes video: "This is the thing that Apple users who argue about this seem to not really understand. The existence of alternate app stores does NOT in fact mean that you would not be able to use the official one." 12. Summary NTIA calls for changes to have more competition in mobile app markets, as where it currently stands can be harmful because gatekeeps policies can have potential to harm consumers by inflating prices and reducing innovation. My thoughts: So it looks like a second attempt is being made after the open act markets act failed before. This could be a huge win for consumers. In my opinion I don’t think apple and google are happy. I think the only thing that apple and google did before was delay the inevitable. They have too much power, and I’m glad that serval countries want change better for competition.
