The HDMI Ultra High Speed certified "Maya" cable from the brand Zeskit is a popular choice for LG TV owners. It's also the first one i tried that worked without issues.

I've had a similar problem with my C9 when HDMI 2.1 first came out. Even though i had certified HDMI 2.1 cables it seemed like only a few of them were actually compatible with my particular GPU and TV combo for some reason.

Sweet jesus. So i found the problem... Very interesting to say the very least...... So if you ever happen to have a logitech powerplay mousepad, and you decide to buy a small drawing tablet and put it on top of the powerplay. When you start moving the pen. Both your tablet and the powerplay mousepad will conflict. So giving you drifts...

Every time I've seen someone with a CX or C1 upgrade to the latest OLED they're always underwhelmed. They just haven't improved significantly enough to warrant it in most cases.

Imo there is no significant upgrade from a C1 atm. Wait another 2-3 generations. Even my C9 can still hold a candle to current-gen OLED TV's. An extra 200 nits or so of peak brightness won't significantly enhance the experience.

Gustavo Dutra reacted to Colty in Red dead 2 on ps5 is too blurry...
On the PS5, using back compatible mode, it will be using the PS4 Pro version. The PS4 Pro/PS5 game will render at a "checkerboard" 1920x2160. It's native 4k on Xbox One X/Series X.

The game hasn't received a "next gen" update so that's just the state of the game at the moment.

This article has extra info on the checkerboarding technique as well as a comparison between it on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
    https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-red-dead-redemption-2-face-off

It's worth noting that RDR2's temporal AA technique is also to blame for the poor visual presentation.

Yeah it should be safe as long as you don't give out your public IP address or any passwords.

He just wants to know the exact device so he can probably tell you which webpage to go to so you can set it up.

And the ISP is because some of those assholes actively block some stuff on your connection.

Yes, its open source so no problem,
as long as you are not using a very very small ISP and you're paranoid, it is safe.
just the manual after all 😛

Hmm. Something is either corrupted or just messed up. Personally I’d likely resolve with a reformat, but that’s a last ditch solution typically. It isn’t the RAID drivers you were looking at previously tho. I’m not sure what it is, wish I had an idea of something for you to try.

Probably not the drivers fault, you may want to check windows health.

No, you don't need that driver.
Just update the latest AMD chipset driver.
Most of the time, you really don't need to update it, unless there's a problem.

Gustavo Dutra reacted to mariushm in Is it a valid point to switch from a higher resolution to a lower resolution monitor just to be able to play games on ultra
Ultra settings are usually just a few percent better than High settings. Just lower from Ultra to High, and then tweak from there.
Some settings like let's say shadow quality, or view distance have a more significant hit on the framerate, so you could tweak those without otherwise visible effects on the image.

You can also just lower the game resolution from the game. For example, if your monitor is 1920x1080, you could play the game at 1920x1024 or 1920x800 or 1680x1050 and you'll have some black bars on the sides. Some monitors may auto stretch a lower resolution resulting in a lower image quality but you can work around that from your video card's settings, where you can enable a feature which always keep the resolution to 1920x1080 and just centers the smaller resolution image the game thinks it outputs on the screen.

Ultra is meant for the ultimate system. Something people often overlook.
You'd likely be fine playing at High, and a lot of the time most people don't notice a huge difference, if any at all.
As for buying a lower resolution monitor, that's entirely up to you. Personally I'd get the best monitor you can afford, as they usually carry over several builds.

I mean. Eye candy is literally what higher settings are. I don't see it as idiotic, if I'm paying to play a game, I want to get the best experience possible.

You got the hardware, why not try it?

But ultra vs high and medium is almost always a tiny quality difference, dropping the resolution will make a much bigger image quality difference.

Playing on ultra/the highest settings possible has always been one of the most idiotic things imho. Just lower the settings, and adjust from there. Most settings are just eyecandy that hurt performance a ton, others are less. Fine tune it to what you can enjoy most.

If you were up-front about selling the card "AS-IS", then you are morally clear to say, "too bad" and move on. That said, if you want to be charitable, you can try to work with him with troubleshooting and/or financial compensation.

As far as fixing the actual issue, a full driver reset is definitely the first step. One cannot claim "faulty hardware" without doing their part to rule out other problems. And quite frankly, if he refuses your advice, you are then even more in the right to again say "too bad."

Seems absolutely fine. Your monitor is about the width of 2 1440p monitors right? So it would be playing games in approximately the same pixel count as 4k. And it handles 4k well, so that would work for you.
