I am not an audiophile or anything myself and never really invested in expensive headsets until recently.

Anyway I was using a Steelseries Artic 7 from gaming and i thought the audio was really good.. but recently picked up the Hyprer x Cloud orbit.. did not really need the wireless side of things.. but anyway I guess as you would expect the audio quality is night and day especially in High Def mode when listening to flac files, but even for gaming you can tell the difference.

I play Escape from Tarkov and being able to tell the location of someone is important and again the Cloud Obit in surround mode are a lot better than the Artic 7...

But other than that I cant really help haha but ill prob never go back to cheaper headsets..

Yeah basically all junk I guess.. I used to end up with boxes and boxes of cables as I was always thinking "one day you never know I might need one" that day never came hahaha

Also don't let all this discourage you to much I mean if you have a good idea with what you want to do then sure go ahead and start really looking into it but as long as your eyes are open to the issues that will confront you that is the main thing.

Ok a good system at least but even a 2080ti will have trouble running some games maxed out at 4k.. best point for gaming at the moment is 144p.. or even one of the Ultrawide options like the Acer predator x34p or something along those lines that has a decent refresh rate as I see your current monitor is stuck at 60Hz

This article has a good overview of the available 4k gaming monitors out there if you are set on a 4k monitor.

The TM Warthog is just something special.

    http://www.thrustmaster.com/products/hotas-warthog/

Pretty heavy and does not move around at all but you can also screw them down if you want to make more of a permanent game space.

But you will need to buy separate Rudder pedals but when you are spending that kind of money people tend to get a bit specific on the type of pedals they want anyway.

Not tried it for a few months now but there used to be an option to just launch the stem client and you could literally just select any game in your list then and install it.. was a bit of  odd way to get to it and cant quite remember the process now haha

But yeah it basically just spins up a server for you to run steam on, Maybe they have tried to hide it a bit more now to make it more streamlined for the end user..

Will have to take another look at it.

caldrin got a reaction from BTGbullseye in Nvidia/Radeon with Gsync monitor, what do I do?
Real gsync monitors have a nvidia gsync module built into them this can be standard Gsync or the Ultimate version that supports HDR..

The other version of gsync called Gsync compatible or whatever is just leveraging the inbuilt variable refresh rate stuff available in the optional display port stuff.. This is basically the same as freesync from what I understand.

Not sure about their personal use laptops but their business ones are solid and good performers have ones here that are over 5 years old and still working fine.. other than this issue with thunderbolt I cant recall having any major issues with them and we prob have well over 10k Lenovo devices.

Make sure you are running the latest bios, x570 chipset drivers and the balanced amd power plan or take a look at the 1susmus power plan https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/1usmus-custom-power-plan-for-ryzen-3000-download.html

When the chips first got released I had that issue quite a bit.. its jyst the way the CPUs work.. a little background task can kick the processor into full power mode and up goes the temp.

Its a lot better now with the latest drivers and bios updates.

Both slots support pcie 4.0 but i think the top one is directly connected to the CPU bottom uses chipset..

BTW I have the same motherboard but have both slots populated with pcie 3.0 nvme devices.. Both run full speed without any issues.. unsure if pci 4.0 will be any different.

Just try booting up with one stick of ram in there.. might force the bios to realise there has been a hardware change.

Only reason I mention its worth a try is that I had a similar issue back in the day when i was overclocking my 5820k.. tried bios reset and battery with no luck.. Starting with only one stick of ram in there instead of the 4 seemed to kick the bios back into action.. similar to how the guy mentions it above..

No idea if it will help but worth a shot before you RMA the stuff.

I would just leave the CPU running with PBO really.. I would mainly look at overclocking that ram for sure. Should be some decent guides around now for overclocking RAM with the new AMD CPUs.
