  1. I don't have my C drive in 2 partitions because it was never something i knew how to do when i set the system up... And i wouldn't upgrade windows 7 to 8.... Tbh, I'm not even going to bother doing it now 'cause i'm not going to mess with my hdds anymore.. i thought it would be as simple as changing the format of the partition via the click of some buttons
  2. Well ok its not 500GB of important data but i would rather back everything up rather than going through everything and picking stuff out
  3. It'd be over 500gb of data to back up and if im honest, Cash isn't coming out of my arse to just go and get another new hdd lol
  4. Ok, I'll take a look but messing with partitions and my hdd is the worst ever 'cause i have no way of backing up my data
  5. Sorry, i was ment to say "How do i format for this" Well i have Ubuntu and Windows 7 on the same drive rather than another partition.
  6. So after figuring out my problems with BF4 Beta not been able to run on my 6100, I have only gotten around 30fps even on low settings, However. People have reported better FPS on windows 8 so i created a partition from my storage drive and decided to install windows 8.1 preview. When i got to installation it said that i couldn't install to the partition because it wasn't formatted for MBR or GPT. Could anyone give me any ideas on how to format the drive for this? Should i repost this in the storage section? (I don't want to upgrade my windows 7 to windows 8. And if its any help.. I currently dual boot Win 7 and Ubuntu)
  7. Already did check .. Somehow it has got the beta to work.. However still only getting about 30fps with drops... Beta works better on WIndows 8 but i have Win 7 and ubuntu installed, Tried to install win 8 to a partition but wouldn't let me and i don't want to upgrade my windows 7
  8. You know what, Selecting "One core per CU" has made the game playable now and works unlike before!
  9. Think its DICE that has to fix it.. Optimized
  10. Well like i said in the thread to someone else, Some people have said that only using 3/4 cores gets the BF4 beta to run, however Im not so sure anymore based on what people have said here
  11. Did doing that turn off the other cores/threads?
  12. Yea, Intel processors are working a dream (almost) on it but a lot of people have problems on the FX processors
  13. Yea, guess i could but its in my case box which is wedged under my bed I always thought that was just how many cores the pc uses to boot the OS?
  14. Defo not ahaha.. I have 4.3 Ghz atm and it nice and cool...
  15. Ahaha, yea i know.. Been a long day thats all I guess i just have to wait for DICE to fix it
  16. Eh, I'll not bother.. Don't want to mess anything up lol
  17. ahaha okie dokie.. I guess i am/was just at a point where i wanted to try anything to get it to work... Even for a beta you'd think they would make sure it works on all CPU's
  18. People saying that to be able to play BF4 beta you should disable some cores.. Been hearing all over that it gets the BF4 beta to run Been looking around.. All i can find to do with cores is "One core per CU" & "2 Cores per processor".. Not sure if that is right or not
  19. Hi, I was wondering how i could disable 2/3 of my cores on the FX 6100 with the AsRock 970 Extreme 3 mobo.. I have looked on google for about an hour to no avail so i instantly came here Any help is appreciated
  20. Hmm, I think i will keep my warranty ahaha Hmm, i would do that but i don't have anywhere to back my main HDD up to
  21. Good evening. I purchased my H80i around December time of last year. The unit has worked fine ever since but the LED's have now become stuck on blue (i can either turn them off, or have them stuck on blue) I have tried re-installing the software but that didn't help. I know some people will say "Send it back for RMA" however i would like to avoid sending the unit back as it would mean i would have to take it all out and then try and install an air cooler that I may or may not have laying around. Any tips/advice would help Thanks - Fuze
  22. I have one WD Blue 500GB as my OS drive and main programs, I also have an old Seagate 500gb drave as extra storage as i was moving things around so much on my WD blue to keep some space free but one night i hit 0GB left so i had to go out and buy one from someone in my area. The reason i have the WD blue is because i wanted "energy saving" whilst keeping the drive at 7200RPM and it was an affordable price for my first PC build ever.
