  1. Hello, I'm looking for a 27'' 1440p monitor with at least 120/144 Hz. Use: Gaming (90%) (Shooters and WoW most of the times- some indie and triple A games), watching videos and streams (10%) I checked rtings.com und Hardware Unboxed and came to my final 3 or 4 monitors and need some help choosing the right one or need some opions. Here are the monitors who I thought would be good (with price in my country): ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ (437€) LG UltraGear 27GL850-B (430€) LG UltraGear 27GN850-B (450€) LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B (440€) I know the difference between the gl 83a (which is srbg) and the gl850 (DCI-P3) but is it the only difference and should I go for srbg one or dci-p3? I read, that the GL850 needs some more calibrating and I dont have an tools for that but does it matter for a more like casual gamer? And is the only difference between the gn850 and the gl850 only the USB hub? rtings is listing the TUF monitor over the gl850 but HardwareUnboxed gives the gl850 the edge, because of the overdrive settings. Note: I play some games on high refresh and some triple A titles on 60-80 fps. So what display should I go for? Or would you recommend a different monitor and why? I play in a decent lit room with some natural lighting during the day and most of the times a tiny lamp for some passive light during the night. Thanks in advance Greetings!
  2. Okay thank you both... Think i will look for a 1080/144 or stick with mine
  3. Hello, So I plan to get a new monitor this holiday season. Use: Gaming (CS:GO comp., Triple A SP Games, Trackmania, Some indie games), daily web stuff System: Ryzen 5 2600 (OC); Vega 56 red dragon (OC); 16gb.... Current monitor: BenQ 1080p 120hz New Monitor: 144/240 hz (Should I bother upgrading to 144hz or go for 240hz? Or should I look for a 27inch 1440p with 144hz?) Freesync would be nice too Good for competetive gaming and not to bad for some nice SP games Height adjustable (maybe Tilt adjustment too) Price: 400€ +-50€ or cheaper Region: Austria (www.amazon.de or https://geizhals.at/ < here I can find the cheapest options for "all" shops) Thank you guys Have a nice day!
  4. the 550 is fairly new so I think no heavy OC (I'm quite new to that so I will start with minor tweaks I guess). If the Specs are good enough for my goals 1080p gaming with 120 fps (for comp games) and 60 fps for singleplayer with higher graphics, than I'm quite happy
  5. ok thanks! Gonna try the OC at least So I will go for that model of the vega 56 a ryzen 2600 (x or not?) MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard and my Corsair RM550x (which will be enough I think) Something wrong with that? Thank you very much!
  6. I'm also open for other suggestions ok so as I read I will have to overclock/ undervolt it.. is that right? you know a good guide for that? Will the 2600(x) be a good enough CPU for it or should I reach for another CPU? Maybe the 2700(x) or a completly different? thank you all for the quick answers
  7. Hello, So my old GPU died and I need a "quick" replacement and can't decide which card to buy. My CPU will bottleneck the GPU in the next weeks but I'm planning to replacing this one aswell in the near future (2600 or 2700x depends on the budget). Got a Corsair rm550x btw. I mostly play videogames (1080p) on a more or less comp lvl (CS:GO, WoW, DotA) so the graphics in these games don't really matter to me (just want to get constant 120+fps for my screen). I still want to play some singleplayer games (witcher 3, Farcry 5, maybe the new AC and so) and enjoy the graphics a little bit and with around 60fps would be nice. Maybe I will upgrade to 1440p but not in the next 1-1.5 years. I was thinking about the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 590 8GD5 RX 580 Vega 56 (dont know which one) RTX 2060/2070 1660 (ti) 1060 or should I wait for the a new one comming soon? Don't want to invest much more than I need for my "goals" So please share your thoughts on what you would pick an why? ("I want a good bang for my buck" hope the phrase is right) Hope you have/had a great day, evening or morning and thanks in advance
  8. OK thanks ill try my best to find a cheaper nee (hard in Austria ^^) if you say thats all i need for the beginning, i'll trust you motherboard and ram can wait i guess that's solved
  9. Yeah, I'll try to find one on ebay maybe :) thanks. so the 580 isn't a good option in your opinion? get a 590 and upgrade my whole system too? Because i'll upgrade my cpu as well
  10. thanks is there any big diff with this one? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B071Y7CKM2/ref=psdc_430181031_t1_B073F1286D so will this be a go to system for more than 1 year? and yes I will stick to 1080 for a while
  11. Hello, So my system is getting a bit old (but still runs fine) but I want to invest about 300-400€ (more if really recommended ) in the near future to get a little or maybe a big boost. Is there anything you would recommend switching (CPU,RAM etc.) or would you just say "Screw it! get a new system"? I was thinking about the RAM but I'm not sure. I play games most of the times (CSGO, WOW) which run fine but now with new games comming out it's getting kinda lame to turn down everything just do get some decent fps ^^ Here is my current system PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel - Core i5-4570 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus - B85-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Corsair - XMS3 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (€44.24 @ Amazon Deutschland) Memory: Corsair - XMS3 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) DDR3-1333 Memory Storage: Samsung - 750 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€145.48 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Sapphire - Radeon R9 280X 3 GB Vapor-X Video Card Power Supply: Corsair - CX 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Monitor: BenQ - XL2420T 24.0" 1920x1080 120 Hz Monitor Total: €189.72 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-11-20 00:03 CET+0100 if I'm missing something feel free to ask I'm thankfull for any kind of help.. what to upgrade and why or should I wait for any specific new parts...
