  1. Hi! I've just recently ordered this Board https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z390-M-rev-10#kf But can't find any reviews or anything for it. Now I'm questioning myself if i should spent 40€ more for the Gaming version, since i want to oc my i7 9700k to 5ghz. Im btw pretty budget limitted, and it needs to be an mATX board with 2 M.2 Slots for NVME.
  2. but i'm pretty sure, both have neither DRAM nor are the TLC or QLC, or better said the controllers on the SU635 or that 60GB Drive good in any way.
  3. thing is, i bought a friend this SSD for 25€ because he needed an SSD as a main storage and OS Drive (his mainboard didn't like HDDs, it corrupted windows all the time, why 'tf it did that, we still don't know, i tried so many things other than replacing it because he didn't want to spend 65€ on another), well, he already told me "it's kinda slow" oh boi, when i tried it out- i didn't really knew anything about SSDs a few month back and thought "hey, it's definitely faster than those 7200rpm HHDs!" - though i can't tell if it's slower than a 5400RPM HDD, can't compare- At least now i know a little bit- and now even more-
  4. oof, that sounds rough- So, the QVO is a bad choice in basically every aspect, or at least worse than the other option and or NVMe QLC SSDs- thank god i did get some advice-
  5. Ok! Thanks, so im guess im gonna go with the SanDisk then, seems the most logical choice, since i need an SSD now.
  6. so for now a TLC based drive would be better in any case, because it would be always faster/sustain fast(er) speeds?
  7. but still, if i would for example copy an 80Gb File, i would probably drain that cache and really get a slow down during the accuring transfer, TLC wouldn't get that big of a hit as QLC in that scenario, that's what im getting out of this conversation-
  8. but the think is, that TLC would still be faster than QLC, since there are less bits per cell. or less fat dudes trying to get through a door.
  9. i think im gonna go with the SanDisk and just leave around 100-200GBs Free, that would work out the best i guess, even if i only have max speeds of around 550MB/s, it's probably better than slowing down to slower than HDD speeds when the Cache's empty at 50%-
  10. So, for my case with 2TB (that will probably filled up to only around 100/200GB left empty) it would work out fine? Or would the SanDisk TLC based SSD be better? And what's with the Speeds when moving around large files?
  11. Oh, alright! Probably i mixed up something- But would it be a good idea to use that second Slot, or any QLC Based M.2 SSD? (and i wrote the P1 was a SATA based drive, deleted it, the MX500 had a SATA based version.)
  12. I know, but the P1 and the 660p is also QLC, i have a Mortar MAX and already use a Kingston KC2000 1TB as my main drive in the first M.2 Slot. I, for some reason, don't want to use the second one, maybe i want to put in an Wifi/Bluetooth expansion card in it
  13. Thank you! good to know, glad im asked before buying! they are pretty similar, the SanDisk only costs 20€ more, so i guess im gonna go with it, don't want the problems involved with Samsung's QLC if it's that bad-
  14. Hi, i need some advice on this, im thinking about replacing my 2TB WD Black HDD with an SSD, though i don't know with which one, the options would be either the QVO 860 or the SanDisk Ultra 3D, both in a 2TB Capacity, I probably would move a lot of files around and install a bunch of games, which could slow down over larger files as soon as the SLC and MLC "cache" gets filled up, maybe store pictures or record some videos onto it, so i thought maybe i shouldn't get the QLC based QVO, but the SanDisk is a pretty old drive at this point, that's probably why it uses TLC NAND. Which one would you recommend?
  15. ok, i will try it later out!
  16. My Mem's stable, no Problems there! I don't get an BSOD.
  17. Sometimes both, did shut down 3 times Completely as if the power was cut.
  18. They use the Reference PCB on the AMP and Triple Fan, and since im the only one having those issues and couldn't find anything on Google i hoped to find help here!
  19. I don't think it is, CPU stays around 50-60c°, GPU goes max 65c°
  20. Hello, firstly, i don't know where to exactly post this thread, so im going to post it to the PSU thread to. here's a quick list of my Specs; Ryzen 7 2700 (not oc'ed) Freezer 33 ESports Cooler 2 x 8 ViperX RAM DDR4, 2666Mhz MSI B450 Tomahawk RTX 2080 ti ZOTAC Triple Fan (also not oc'ed) Corsair Vengeance V650M AND previously Corsair CX 550 (Grey Unit) 2 x 1TB HDD 7.2K 1 x 2 TB WD Black 7.2K 5 RGB Coolers So, my problem is, that many, if not all of my Games Crash when im after a while of gaming. To describe it more precisely: When im Running a game like Infinite Warfare or Battlefield V, i have to different scenarios in those games Infinite Warfare: Crashes after a few minutes of Gaming, no error message. Battlefield V: crashes after around 20-30 minutes, no error message. or the System shuts completely down. it doesn't matter if i overclock the GPU or not. i tried multiple times to uninstall the drivers (also with DDU) and to reinstall them, it didn't work, also i changed my PSU from that CX550 to the Vengeance V650M, because i thought it was a power delivery issue. So, i don't know why they crash, it's not the fault of my CPU or Motherboard, neither are the PSUs, because with my "old" RTX 2080 with OC it just worked fine without any problems. could it be the fault of the GPU/GPU Memory? Thx for the help!
  21. oh, and before i get the question "why upgrade from an ryzen 7 2700 to an Ryzen 5 3600x", well, it was an example and i bet the CPU itself would be much better hence the rumoured IPC improvement aswell as 7nm and higher Base/Boost Clocks. And i cpould just easily sell my old Ryzen 7 2700.
  22. oops, didn't want to "Pin" it, anyways, the problem is that i don't have currently a board at all. I have an Ryzen 7 2700 pointlessly lying around doing nothing since my Old Board just gave up, something near the GPU Bracket burnt away and it died.
  23. well, ok, than i probably don't really have a choice other than just wait that week- the thing still is, that an announcement doesn't mean they gonna immediately sell Boards, so i still would need a relaible one, because i can't wait 2 Months until they're actually will be able to be bought.
