Best RAM for my Motherboard and CPU
Tijn74 replied to Tijn74's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Okay, thanks. Little problem is that I live in The Netherlands so shipping from amazon.com takes a while (and returning does as well) But if most ram works anyways, let's just hope it does then. Thanks a lot! -
Best RAM for my Motherboard and CPU

I have an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon and a Ryzen 5 1500X. My current RAM is Corsair Vengeance 2133 MHz (don't know it much more exact, because I let a website built my PC) I'm looking to upgrade to something like 16GB 3000 MHz. I found this RAM on Amazon. Somebody in the reviews said it worked with his X370 Motherboard and a 1600X (picture) Though in the description on Amazon it says "Compatibility: Intel 100 Series,Intel 200 Series,Intel 300 Series,Intel X299" And when I selected my exact motherboard in the Amazon confirmedfit, it said: "We're not sure this item fits your MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON" Plus, on another site it says my CPU can max handle DDR4-2666. (picture) I don't know what I should believe anymore. If anyone has any advice on whether it works, or other options in this price range, I'd love to hear them!

I was interested in buying a Corsair HS70 https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-HS70-Wireless-Gaming-Headset/dp/B07D1LYT1X/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=hs70&qid=1564073270&s=gateway&sr=8-2 I was wondering whether it was possible to connect it to my TV as well, since it has a USB dongle and my TV has one USB port. The surround sound won't work since you'll need Corsair's software for that, but would it work with Stereo?

Okay, so Amazon.de raised it's price to €81 and Azerty raised it to €95, but I found the same one (I believe) on Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3200MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B0143UM4TC/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Corsair%2BVengeance%2BLPX%2B16GB%2B(2x8GB)%2BDDR4%2B3200MHz&qid=1563628067&s=gateway&sr=8-2&th=1 Can you check whether this is the same one and if not, will it work with my Motherboard?

So this RAM https://azerty.nl/product/corsair/850706/vengeance-lpx-ddr4-16gb-geheugen-16-gb-2-x-8-gb?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9pDpBRCkARIsAOzRzitRNR1FNmAdL-541a1Sfo2NCx3LLkhh_tv0L9Rzv23681r7U4gT3S0aAo3WEALw_wcB is still the best option? Because then I'll start saving up some money for it.

I found an article on the internet saying you can use a device connected to a chromecast as a second screen for your Windows PC. So I followed the tutorial, but in the first step it said: "Once in Display, click on “Detect.” Here, we are going to trick Windows into thinking there’s a secondary display already attached, even though it isn’t. It says “Display not detected,” but shows a blue screen—click on it." The problem is; the blue screen doesn't show up. The first image is how it should look like and the second image is what it looks like on my PC. (In another language, I already tried whether changing to English works but it doesn't) My OS is Windows 10 Education My primary monitor is connected with DisplayPort (don't think that makes a difference though) This is the article that I used https://www.techjunkie.com/extend-desktop-chromecast/ If you know what causes the problem or another solution; I'd love to hear it!

Okay, I'm confused now. On the MSI website it says my motherboard does support DDR4. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON
-
Ohh, okay. I'm sorry?
-
Maybe I'm a little late, but if you plug them in you should be able to control them with you motherboard's software, I have the same case and I use the MSI Gaming App (since I have an MSI motherboard)

Newegg says that including VAT it will cost €87, so it's cheaper for me to buy it on Azerty

I'm from The Netherlands and some stores here sell it as well. The link to "Azerty" was the cheapest one I could find. So newegg might be the best option. I don't have the motherboard from the link. I have this one. It says it supports DDR4 "Supports DDR4-3200+(OC) Memory" So I guess the vengeance 3200 MHz still is the best option?

So I found the same RAM kit (I believe?) on a Dutch site for €15 cheaper: https://azerty.nl/product/corsair/850706/vengeance-lpx-ddr4-16gb-geheugen-16-gb-2-x-8-gb?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9pDpBRCkARIsAOzRzitRNR1FNmAdL-541a1Sfo2NCx3LLkhh_tv0L9Rzv23681r7U4gT3S0aAo3WEALw_wcB I'm just checking, will this RAM work with my AMD x370 Gaming Pro Carbon? (The rest of my system is on my profile I believe)

Okay, I'm going with the one Polargirl sugested. Thanks for your reaction! ?

I hava an AMD Ryzen 1500x. It should be a bit overkill for my 1050TI so I thought the high CPU usage was a problem. If you also have high usage with your 2600x, it's normal I guess. Thanks a lot for your response.
