  1. Hey Guys, I am undecided between which monitor to get. I am looking for a 1080p 24" 144hz Led/lcd 1ms monitor that can be any panel type. I found this site which filtered monitors based on specs required but am finding it hard to decide. I cannot get an Asus VG248QE as it EOL in my country or something. Can order the Asus monitor from Newegg or AMAZON but had some rough experience with items from Amazon in some aspects and if something is wrong it is a pain to return as I would have to pay for shipping etc. So basically looking for answers before I spend all my money I got from selling my xbox one x LOL. Max budget is $450 NZD. Here are my options: https://pricespy.co.nz/category.php?k=s328396365&catId=393&sort=price&direction=asc https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=192001080&T=1&D=144000,240000&qq=1&sort=price&page=1
  2. Hi, I am looking for a 1080p 144hz monitor and was recommended these. My budget is $450NZD. https://www.newegg.com/global/nz-en/Product/Product.aspx?reviews=all&Item=N82E16824236313 https://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=31552 https://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=28506 Thanks for your feedback. The acer monitor is 240hz but I don't know how good it is. Cheers.
  3. Hi Guys, My rig is running a 1070ti, 2700x, 16gb 3200mhz to give a quick run down. I am looking for a monitor but unable to decide between (24") 1080p 60z or 1080p 144hz. I think my gpu will be able to hit 144hz constantly but I have heard if you get a monitor w/o freesync/gsync you can see screen tearing when frames drop. I can buy 2 1080p 60hz for the price of one 144hz monitor but still not sure if I will use two monitors. I use a hdmi cable that I know is caped to 60hz so wondering if there even would be a point in getting 144hz monitor if I will not be able to utilize it. also what factor does 1ms vs 5ms play? I play all types of games AAA+ titles, rpg etc. My max budget is $400NZD. Any tips are appreciated
  4. Just online sites that host videos, I can select 1080p but it just stutters after loading a bit and continues to jitter and load? They don't throttle videos but they do throttle speed after x gbs used that I am aware of.
  5. Hi Guys, This is my rig: https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/fgvrnH and for some reason I am unable to stream videos at 1080p ? Mbps Up: 44 Mbps Downs: 15. What could be the issue ? Cheers.
  6. I see. Cheers for your feedback man.
  7. Cheers mate will take that onboard. I guess I will just game on my tv for now and see how it is or my shitty monitor I have laying around then get some mulla to buy a monitor during sale near the end of the year.
  8. Sweet, might have to consider buying the ASUS VG248QE 24" Monitor but will have to see my budget or wait til boxing day hahahah and work to get some funds until then probably be gaming on the 4k tv in the lounge with high input lag and medium hz.
  9. True, I can get 50-60hz monitors for cheap but they are not 1080p but if they are they are quite cheap. under $100.
  10. 1140p are out of budget for a not economically funded person like myself.
  11. Damn Spotty you everywhere hahahaa. I will be playing h1z1, pubg, cg:go, rainbow six siege, gta v, just shooters mainly. 12. Hey Guys, I have a question is 1080p 144hz really worth it If My rig will not hit 144fps? I am going to be using a 1070ti. I don't think I will be able to push 144fps at 1080p ultra. Instead wouldn't a 60hz monitor be better? or is it that 144hz just offers better smoothes and playability? Cheers.
  13. Yeah that's what I meant I check in NZD but factoring in shipping it usally ends up the same.
  14. Yeah, I should of built my rig in the last two years when I was planning to but listening to some non experts I know irl cost me dearly lol.
