Hi @LinusTech for me the battery drain on an old Samsung was alleviated by switching from push notifications to a less frequent (every 30 minute) check on any email app I used, specifically outlook and Gmail. Had the same issue for years over a few models.
Never had the drain problem when I switched to an LG or since switching to Pixel 2, but all Samsung's I've used previously forced me to change email off push notifications. No idea if this will help, but I remembered it having see the vid on YT so registered here to say, just in case.
