  1. Anybody have a clue what this is? Winfast is Leadtek's graphics card brand but apart from that I have 0 idea. is?
  2. Recently I got myself a MSI RX 480 Gaming X 4G off ebay for $100 and I've been savoring it ever since. I know that the RX 480 is a hot card, and the fans ramping up every time I open a game is a very audible reminder, but.... Sometimes, my monitors suddenly turn off, the last second of audio loops over and over, and the graphics card's fan ramps to 100%, requiring me to do a hard reset. So maybe I got a bad card, or the thermal paste is all crusty and needs replacement (with the amount of ex-mining cards on ebay, I wouldn't be surprised). However, this only happens in one game. I can play Cities Skylines, TS2018, FSX:SE, CS:GO, hell even Minecraft just fine. The fans ramp up, but the crashing never happens. Sometimes when I play INSURGENCY though, this happens about 15-45m after I start the game. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all. I'm pretty sure I'm running on the latest drivers. I would like to note: NVIDIA's software is still installed (inspector and experience) from when I had a 1050 Ti, but I have AMD Adrenalin drivers installed.
  3. Ay, my prediction came true! It seems that I'm not the only one that scammers are targeting!
  4. I didn't even know that people tried to imitate LTT, but I imagine that this won't be the last time either.
  5. @corrado33 I can always sell my current hardware.
  6. @corrado33 I found an e3 1220 v2 on eBay for $37, would that be better than the x3470/870?
  7. @COUPER MILLAR can find motherboards for less than $20 from old Enterprise systems on ebay. @corrado33 I don't incredible multicore perf, just enough to stream a bit and play cities skylines. FSX and Insurgency demand single core performance though. Also that would bring the total cost to about $100.
  8. I've been eyeing an upgrade from my current Xeon x3440 (nehalem) due to poor FSX performance. However, as I'm a cheapskates, I'm considering what is the best value I can get. I play CS, FSX, ETS2 and Insurgency and I like to stream a bit. Sandy bridge - e3 1230 for $55 + mobo Ivy bridge - e3 1230 v2 for $80 + Mobo Haswell - e3 1220 v3 for $65 I have a 1050 TI and play at 16x9 (Getting an Rx 470 and 1080 monitors) Is the e3 1230 much better than the x3440? And is hyperthreading worth it over the cheaper e3 1220 v3?
