At least Chia is pushing for higher endurance SSD in consumer space, that's something great
GPU mining pushed for GPU without display ports, that's backwards evolution

"Far beyond" is a pretty vague claim, any actual numbers other than "far beyond, too much, very big"?
You're talking about capitalism yet you got no clue how it works. If a pharmacy company has an option to
A- Cure cancer with a single pill
B- Treat it for 25 years
It WILL always choose the option B. That's not a conspiracy theory, that's a fact.

Matu20 got a reaction from WereCat in Tongfang's smoothest act - XMG and Eluktronics releases high refresh rate laptops
Yeah, but so often nowadays 2K is used interchangably with 1440p, and 1080p is just called 1080p, even though it's actually the true 2K resolution. And if you say that 2K isn't actually 1920 x 1080, then you're correct, but then calling 3840 x 2160 resolution 4K is wrong for that same exact reason. So if 4K = 2160p, then 2K = 1080p.
I just dislike how widespread this misinformation has reached.

2K is 1080p, 1440p is 2.5K-ish. Let's stop the spread of misinformation! A man can hope.

A picture of an anime girl for a gamer girl? Wouldn't a gamer girl rather want a hot guy on it instead? The logic doesn't make sense to me here; this is more like a card for the gamer boy instead.

That is sadly not the case.
You can not just take an Android kernel and boot it on a device. You need a custom kernel for each and every device. What you need is a "board support package" which tells the OS how to interact with the hardware. You can think of it as a BIOS, but it's specifically tailored to a specific SoC and other hardware components (rather than a BIOS where you can plug in a ton of stuff and it just automatically is detected and works).
Qualcomm is a very nice company and not only open sources but also uploads a lot of their customized code for their SoCs to a public forum, which means people at for example XDA developers have a far easier time modifying things like the open source Android to working on a particular platform.
MediaTek do not upload their modifications to public forums, which means it is extremely difficult, near impossible, to develop custom ROMs for them. That, on top of MediaTek are popular by device makers who tend to do things like have a bad stock ROM, and lock bootloaders, which has given them an even worse reputation.

They don't ship with 100% brightness and you can tune it to your own liking. Why do you assume it only has to use the max brightness?
And the 1000 nits is local brightness, not full display brightness. This is needed for HDR.

You don't account for the price difference. You can probably expect at least a 5x premium for the wireless part and you have to charge them as well. So you have to scale the price for every step of quality. That's going to either a) get expensive or b) be non-existent.
You're also fighting physics here. In order to fit the radio and battery you'd either have to add some wires attached to a unit to remove the bulk from the main product itself or make them excessively large to fit it. Not to mention if you want smart features you might need a larger chip and microphones. Why does the size matter? Because you generally need larger drivers and housings to produce better audio.
Also, you're at the mercy of the codec used and the compatibility between all links in the chain. So you may end up with heavily compressed audio anyway due to compatibility and the subsequent fallback to the lowest supported standard.
Need I go on?
