Yeah, but so often nowadays 2K is used interchangably with 1440p, and 1080p is just called 1080p, even though it's actually the true 2K resolution. And if you say that 2K isn't actually 1920 x 1080, then you're correct, but then calling 3840 x 2160 resolution 4K is wrong for that same exact reason. So if 4K = 2160p, then 2K = 1080p. I just dislike how widespread this misinformation has reached.

I'm lucky enough to live in a country that does not ban rooted phones from working with apps (banking included). And I do have to say that I personally find fiddling fun, but it's not hard at all to find a stable ROM that you can stick with for years, without updates. Anecdotally, I have rooted and flashed my mom's and sister's phones, which have had very few issues over the years. I do agree that competition is good and I'd love to see it continue, might actually push XDA devs to expand and support a wider variety of chipsets. Currently it's just not the case, unfortunately.

Mediatek CPU means no support from the XDA community, which is a deal braker for me personally. I do not like any of the custom skins, especially MIUI.

They don't ship with 100% brightness and you can tune it to your own liking. Why do you assume it only has to use the max brightness? And the 1000 nits is local brightness, not full display brightness. This is needed for HDR.

I haven't actually watched the show in years, always downloaded audio and listened while walking or doing something. But doing Youtube now, they do get significant donations and makes sense to keep it audio-video format.

You two even read what he said?

1070 ti and Ryzen 2600, should even be under a $1000.

Closer and closer to Universal Basic Income, good.

I own a 3GB 1060 and had no issues, just for anecdotal evidence.

Why is that so expensive for only 16g
Matu20 replied to ManosMax13's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
You are wrong, almost all kits work at advertised speeds now. BIOSes since Zen's launch have come really far. -

Memory is universal, no brand preference necessary. -
Youtube kicking off Gun Channels, oppurtunity for Floatplane?
Matu20 replied to starkiller1's topic in Tech News
These aren't nearly as similar to make the same conclusion. Video games are for entertainment, guns are for protection. And that actually was ignorant of you.- 140 replies

Youtube kicking off Gun Channels, oppurtunity for Floatplane?
Matu20 replied to starkiller1's topic in Tech News
I also used to watch FPS Russia's videos on shooting guns, don't remember why, but haven't done it for a half a decade now. Someone mentioned stress reliever to me in person as well, so I can kinda see that. But my question is that isn't there anything else to relieve your stress, that don't include firearms?- 140 replies

People not willing to admit and learn are who i despise the most. Why not check a benchmark to get yourself up to bar?

I get that you are from Canadialand, but so few of us are and it just doesn't make sense to include specific remarks like that, why not just use the "global currency" USD at all times? Great article btw, read every word and got the most valuable info out of it, no need to check source.
