  1. It looks like the blue line in on my streaming computer is making the static noise when recording my mic. The gaming computer was good. Im now on the Yamaha again and when I talk into the mic it's like a robot sound in my headphones (not much, just on some letters, no effect is on). Maybe it's just this board, but overall I just have a better feeling with the Soundcraft.
  2. I tried a different cable but to the other PC and that noise is gone. The new cable I have is a bit to short for the computer, but will try with the other cable to this computer and see if there is noise or not. I will have the mixer at home for a week to try them out, will be fun to see how much the Cloudlifter will do (having the gain so high feels like the sound is very crisp and more sensitiv to pick up other sounds. I guess I havent found the correct setup with the MG10XU yet, but I hear a crackling sound in my headphones when I talk into the mic with the MG10XU (maybe something with this board as it is their barrow board.
  3. Just doing an update post. The store I was at borrowed me an Yamaha MG10XU to play around with, so I now have both mixers and I have to say that they Soundcraft feels better. Warmer sound and better output from the USB. Feels like the Yamaha I have has very low volume going out from the USB connection. Think I read something about them putting a pad on the Yamaha mixer. Also I felt that the sound was better on the Soundcraft. Easier to see the levels on the meter, on the Yamaha i usaly didnt go above the first line (-20 db). When I cranked the gain and level up it sounded like small crackling sound. I tried to use Stereo out from the mixer to the streaming computer just to try the record without USB and it was much louder. But on the meeter on the mixer the sound was so low because it was so loud on the computer and sounded distorted. Also when I install the drivers many say it should show "Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO" but on my computer it still shows as Line (MG XU). Could it be something with that? 1 problem I have with both is the AUX going into line in (blue). When I record I only hear the sound from the left ear. Going to PFL mod on the Soundcraft I can listen to just that channel and can hear from both. Im recording from Streamlabs OBS. I didnt have a 6.3mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo. But had 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo with a 3.5mm to 6.3 stereo adapter. Maybe something with that. This was a setting in Streamlabs OBS where i record, needed to force that channel into mono. But using the AUX1 I have alot of static sound in the background when I record from that into line-in (blue). But when I record with the USB then it's good. But I will also borrow a Cloudlifter on tuesday just to try the mixers out with that. One thing that feels better with the Yamaha is it's size. Fits the table better.
  4. Yes, that should work. Other than that i don't think I need more from the MG10 and should be good for me.
  5. Yea, thought that the Soundcraft was like MG10 in price but more AUX outputs. But yea, the preamp is really good in the MG10 and 12. Will have to think more if I should just go with MG10 and grow from there.
  6. Thanks for the link for the USB cable. Yea, I will have to have it at 100% (maybe 95-98%) but then I hear hiss (notice when I mute the mic input), and if I go past the 0 with the level I hear it even more. I guess I maybe still need a Cloudlifter or a Fethead with the MG12, I was looking at this video.
  7. They have Thomann in Germany (thats why it's so expensive). I could see if they Ship to Sweden but then I will need to pay extra VAT and that will end up at the same price or more. I have connected the mic, and yes, i will need extra amp for this mic. Also pluged the USB to the stream computer... but im getting alot of crackling sound when listening to music och Youtube. In the package the USB cable was not included, I used my cable from my Rode NT-USB that is USB 2.0 and very very long. Maybe it's just something with the cable. What settings should I use Channel 2, 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio quality)? Or 16 bits, 48000 Hz (DVD-quality)? I will play around with this one but it looks that I will have to go for the MG12XU.
  8. I can also see that the Soundcraft has 70 - 200 Ohm on the headphone jack. I have Beyerdynamics DT990 Edition 25O Ohm. Will that be any problem sound wise? Today I used a headphone amp Aune X1s.
  9. Thanks for the links with the extra cables I need.
  10. Thanks for looking into the mixer. The problem here is im in EU and the difference in the price on the Yamaha MG12XU is big. It has been lower a year ago. Yamaha MG12XU - 359 € Soundcraft Signature 10 - 255 € But as you said, then add 69 € for the Fethead or 159 € for the Cloudlifter. Then it's maybe better to go with the Yamaha MG12XU. But I guess I will need to have the gain high isnt that giving more noise and picking up other sounds and sounds more harsh?
  11. Thanks for the tip with the Avermedia capture card will look into it. Regarding the monitor I can downgrade it to 144 (it's boosted to 165). I bought the Mixer and Mic. I have 1 week to play around with it, if not then I can turn it back and order another mixer that I want. I have heard that the pre amp in Yamaha MG10/12 are good.
  12. I was at the local store and got good price on the Shure SM7B and the Soundcraft Signature 10. Let’s hope that I can connect everything. The only thing I will need is a Cloudlifter or a Fethead for the mic so I’m not having the gain all the way up.
  13. Now I think I understand everything more. What would the benifits be to go MG12XU? Or does it look like im fine with this setup (except the problem to get the mic to ingame voice on gaming computer). I guess I should stay away from Behringer X1204USB (much cheaper, but I guess you get what you pay for). I have been looking at the Mackie ProFx8v2 but it is missing compression, but i guess I can grow more with MG12XU or ProFx8v2 for the future. There is also Soundcraft Signature 10 that maybe is better then MG10XU and I guess the Soundcraft Signature 12MTK would be overkill with 12 channel usb. I have 1 monitor to gaming computer (1440p 165hz). I guess I need the more expensive capture cards to get both 1440p and the refreshrate, going with the Elgato 60pro i will have to choose, 1440p resolution or the refreshrate i think. Im streaming in 900p (FPS Escape from Tarkov), don't feel that I need to stream in 1080p when it's alot of movement. Im also thinking alot and cant decide to go for Shure SM7B or Rode Procaster for the mixer (Im using a Rode NT-USB today but want to go dynamic mic). As you can see, I have alot of problem picking mixer and mic. I noticed that you in the other post said that the Mackie PRoFx8v2 is a good mixer. Do you have a diagram on how I would set it up? I have found one image https://imgur.com/a/7yDzI Sorry for alot of questions in the same post. I just want to tell you that I really appreciate your help, you are taking your time and do good posts.
  14. Noticed that I forgot to change the text information below the mixer, streaming and gaming computer should swap position. Other than that Im using OBS studio on the gaming pc with NDI plugin. Then on streaming computer im running Streamlabs OBS. But I guess I will only send the image and not the sound. The other question is where I should put the Behringer HD400 Hum destroyers. Guess I will need some of them.
