  1. Since Windows starts to bog down the more apps you install on it, I had an idea that I THOUGHT was brilliant, but now it appears it won't work. My idea was to install only more core apps on my main user accounts and create separate accounts for gaming, experimenting, etc. I had THOUGHT each user account had its own registry and other settings files and thus apps you install in the User2 account wouldn't clutter User1 accounts. But from my experiments, it appears apps installed in User2 are also available to User1. And the best I could find is to block access to apps by user -- but that doesn't actually reduce clutter or curb bogginess. Is that accurate? Can any of you think of a way to do what I'm trying to do? The only other options I've come up with are VMs, but that comes with its own challenges. Thoughts?
  2. I don't see h ow to run the benchmark for a single core. Xidax is a custom gaming rig builder. http://xidax.com
  3. I have a brand new computer with Corsair K95 KB and Glaiv RGB mouse. the iCue profile settings randomly change to something else, even when the computer is not sleeping. The lights change and the dpi changes. I have to go back into iCue, select a different profile and then back to the original to get it back Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? I LOVE this keyboard and mouse, but I don't like the profile changing. I could live w/o the colors. That's no big deal, but I can't have the dpi changing on me. Thoughts?
  4. Yeah, I didn't have an option, since I had to take what they sent me. It was a bonus with my computer.
  5. I sure hope you said that backwards! Yeah, the post of mine is solid silver/gray.
  6. I'm a programmer so I spend hours a day on my keyboard. I'm also an occasional gamer. I type in the 90s when I'm in the zone. I just replaced my Logitech mechanical KB with a Corsair K95 Platinum w/ Cherry Speed. I was worried before getting it because I read a lot of complaints that the keys were overly sensitive and it was too easy to accidentally tap keys. But, I've experienced none of that. I love this keyboard. It's a gaming keyboard, but that's not why I got it. I wanted something that was great for typing and had macro keys. This has been great so far. I had thought I'd just turn off the rgb, but I actually like setting the colors of the qwerty keys separate from the supporting keys. I also make the F, J, and V keys a bit brighter to make it easier to find them when working in low light. I'm very happy with this kb, but it IS very expensive. I got it as a bonus when I bought my new computer. I doubt I'd have bought it on my own. but, I'm super glad I have it.
  7. Sweet. If it had been brown, I guess I wouldn't have had to ask. But since they were clear, it didn't look like an indicator. I'm pleased because I'd read Speed keys were way too sensitive with lots of accidental presses, but I've not experienced any of that.. I love the way they feel and the responsiveness feels perfect. Thank you both for your help.
  8. Wait. Are the switches under the key caps actually colored to match their name? Mine look somewhat translucent / silvery. Since they're not brown, I guess that means I have speed?
  9. Done. What visual indicators should I see under the key cap to identify Brown or Speed?
  10. I received a Corsair K95 Platinum keyboard as a bonus with my new computer and for the life of me, I can't tell whether I have Brown or Speed keys. Where would I look to determine that? I found no indications on the box nor under the keyboard.
