  1. Ok so i am looking for a horizontal case thats relatively slim hight wise but can be quite large width/depth. Kinda like a desk style pc case. Some thing like the lian li PC-O7S, but a little less with the separated independent components and any saving on price would be awesome as that bad boy costs a lot. Any ideas appreciated.
  2. That's an awesome caddy and a great idea but i need one that will support the M.2 drive as it wont work with the current caddy.
  3. Definatly seeing conflicting arguments online. Looks like it is hit or miss with no official support for NVMe from Asus.
  4. Asus G751 JY-T7280H Thank you kindly sir.
  5. Hi all, I have an Asus G751JY, when i purchased the laptop it had a pre-installed inch SATA SSD. However it has the option to upgrade to M.2 PCI SSD. I would like to do this upgrade but i am facing 2 challenges. 1. how to find out if my chipset supports Nvme? I can find no official documentation on the subject. 2. The drive caddy, the m.2 slot is oriented perpendicular to the 2.5 SATA slot so i need a new drive caddy. I reached out to my local hardware shop but they said Asus don't stock the original part. Any one have any idea's on how to find a good 3rd party caddy or best option would be a second hand genuine part but I can't find them either. Appreciate any feedback.
  6. Very close but it is lacking the thermal probes i am after.
  7. So I am looking for some fan controller recommendations. Not worried about price but I need to to be intelligent. I am after some thing that will monitor the temp sensors and adjust fan speed automatically, options for alarms, custom fan curves an a hardware display would be awesome but not required. So far all the solutions i can find just give back a temp allowing you to manually adjust fans not so much a "smart controller". I am after 4-5 temp sensors, if it is powered by software on the system that is fine as well Thanking you in advance for your time, Akin
  8. Ok so my chair is getting old and its time for a new one, so i want to know what chairs you use? I had a look around for reviews and stuff and most seem to be sponsored by one company or another and only related to that one company. I talked to a few streamers i follow and the 1 that has a nice chair, it won't fit me and doesn't come in any other sizes. So people i am looking for chairs, advice, recommendations and just general conversation. Must support a big person 200cm 100kg+ weight. The budget is $500-$600 AUD inc shipping if outside AUS. This is the only one i have found so far, but there must be more out there. http://www.dxracer.com.au/dxracer-pc-gaming-chairs/dxracer-k-series-pc-gaming-chairs/dx-racer-k-series-office-gaming-chair-black-and-white-pu-leather.html
  9. Dose it get to the powered down state? I.E. All lights turn off then back on? Check Bios for option to turn on POST code beeps. Might give you a hint if its a hardware issue.
  10. If thats the max your board supports the ram can't go over it. If they were going to put in a auto over clock feature i would assume they have safe guards in place to stop it from breaking things.
  11. I would suggest your SSD has bad sectors. or some sort of issue. Run full drive tests with hard drive out of the computer. Also check SATA cables and SATA bios settings.
  12. I would guess PSU, GPU, MoBo/bios. Try resetting your bios to defaults and maybe get a new cmos battery. I would suggest its Power related, might be power to GPU when you launch your games. OS tends to blue screen not just drop power. Also check the power point your PSU is plugged into. Might be wiring issue in the house.
  13. Test Ram, remove any over clocks and test again. If your not posting on reboot and had the issue before installing the OS. run throuhg the regular steps of checking hardware when post wont work.
  14. So i need to convert my SSD from MBR to GPT, but i dont really want to reinstall yet again. So thoughts are backup Convert disk, restore. Question is, for any one that has done a GPT conversion. If you take partition images from a MBR disk can they be restored to a GPT disk? I was thinking of using some thing like Shadow protect. <http> </http> If any one has done this i would love to know what software you used? Basically i'll just reinstall if its going to be an issue but may as well try and just backup/restore.
  15. Check the default languae settings in Windows. Key mappings may be off
