  1. do you have anything against the r9 I suggested which is basically turbos a bit slower (you can oc to fix this) than an i9 but has double the cores

  3. no if the cpu socket is not perfectly alinged you could risk bending pins/pins not connecting if you try to reset it you could do something sketchy but its not worth risking your cpu/having gigabyte invalidating your warranty get gigabyte to send you a new board
  4. new zealand selection on pcpp https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=436&sort=price&page=1 acutally cheapest rtx s like 600
  5. your budget is way to low for the build your describing I mean your 1000w evga psu is 333 dollars the cheapest rtx gpu is like $500 I would recommend either revising your budget or going with a 3200g and buying a gpu later/buying one used

  7. That looks like a half decent pc is your using it for cpu intensive tasks like rendering in 8k in photoshop but if you plan to use your pc primarily for gaming you will want to spend more money on the gpu based on the parts above you budget is around 2200 or so PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $292.98 @ Amazon CPU Cooler be quiet! 8. what are you planning to do with this system? what games/resolution etc 5000 might be way overkill do you need a monitor + peripherals?
  9. well what games are you playing because generally a gpu upgrade will make the biggest difference but with some games the cpu is more important(ex. csgo)
  10. true but the problem is his processor is a 2700x not like a 2600 I would still recommend a slightly better motherboard maybe he should get a 2700 oc it and then use the money saved to get a better mobo and faster ram
  11. yes but I would choose a better mobo(msi tomahawk at the very least) and faster ram(3000+)
  12. im not @jerubedo but you lose money due to the 2700x eing identical to an oced 2700 so instead of buying a 2700x use the extra money as savings or use it to upgrade other parts also zen 2 is coning out in like a month so you might want to wait and see if the prices come down due to that
  13. kinda a weird choice of parts why not i7/ryzen 7 (if you need the cores + hyper threading) and 16gs of ram and upgrade the gpu to a 2070/vega 64? as for tv vs monitor you can read this article but it basically sums down to monitors have higher response time and refresh rate https://www.gamingscan.com/tv-vs-monitor-for-gaming/
