  1. ... so there are three Windows installs on one drive? That sounds weird. Honestly, the simplest thing to do would be to backup all your data to another drive, make a list of the programs you have installed, format, reinstall, and reinstall your programs/data.
  2. If you have an iRacing membership but no wheel then I'd consider that a priority. However I really wouldn't bother with that wheel - I know you probably want it because it's Ferrari branded, but it has no Force Feedback which for most people makes it already pretty useless (a few play without Force Feedback but it makes it a lot harder to feel what the car is doing). If you really, really want a Ferrari branded wheel then I wouldn't recommend anything less than the Thrustmaster T300, which is quite a bit more expensive. Closer to that price range is the Logitech DFGT (still more expensive but closer and it's really the cheapest wheel worth getting). Or there's the G27 which is more money again. To be honest if you can't afford a DFGT I'd just keep saving up until you can - the pedals aren't brilliant (although neither are those that come with that Ferrari wheel) but you can upgrade them to something else later.
  3. It's like recently I saw a still from a show (can't remember what it was) where they were holding a phone that said "Calling..." on it. In the top left corner you could see the "back" button of a photo gallery
  4. It's not as uncommon as you'd think. I've seen 1333 and 2133 by same brand, same model and everything for the same price before. My brother's H97-based PC is using 1866MHz RAM, even though it can only be run at 1600MHz on that PC, because it was the same price as the 1600MHz RAM of the same brand.
  5. Hi guys, I'm about to do a reinstall of Windows. I remember hearing about this website (from a Linus video? Can't remember which one) where you can go to download all the stuff you need to get after a reinstall. Flash, Java, maybe drivers, I can't remember specifically what it has but it would be really useful right now. Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks for that. So basically you're still getting (slightly) better performance? OK. Seen some 480GB OCZ drives on special so may pick them up after all
  7. Hi guys, quick question. Why is it each "size class" of SSD seems go have 3 "sub-sizes"? e.g. 240/250/256GB, 480/500/512GB etc. As far as I know, the way SSD flash chips work means that capacities are always a power of 2 (32, 64, 128, 256, 512...) so my guess is that the space is still there but some of it is being used for something and is therefore not accessible. If I'm paying for a ~500GBish drive and there's a 480GB and 512GB drive for the same price, then I'd like to feel that I'm getting something for sacrificing that 32GB of space. So please enlighten me. Thanks
  8. Yeah 350D from what I can tell is your best bet. It's not exactly roomy but you but there are a number of 350Ds with custom loops you can find on the internet. Here's one I found. http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?34412-Worklog-Corsair-350D-Mini-Beast
  9. Well I think a 350D would suit you nicely. It's difficult to tell how much room the watercooling gear will take up though seeing as I'm not familiar with it. S430 also probably an option. If you want that bay res then definitely a 350D I think. BRB with other suggestions.

    Cryorig?

I noticed their products appearing on PC Case Gear the other day, look really good and seem reasonably priced (not cheap, but reasonable). I'd get one if I had/do a tower build.
  11. I don't have one but all the reviews I've seen have said it's barely audible even at full load. Look up reviews from Linus, JayzTwoCents, and there are probably tons of others but they're the only two I remember seeing.
  12. Gigabyte hands down, particularly at the same price (which is what you're implying). If the ASRock is a lot cheaper then it may be worth a look if you're on a budget but the Gigabyte is the one I'd choose every time. Also bear in mind that the ASRock would need a BIOS update in order to work with the newer Haswell Refresh CPUs.
  13. Doubt it. Plus using other websites have wildly different valuations, a lot less than 800k http://www.netvaluator.com/www/linustechtips.com http://www.siteprice.org/website-worth/www.linustechtips.com
  14. Well he can get an AMD card but if he can stretch a bit for the GTX 970 it will consume less power, output less heat and perform about as well as an AMD card (of course it varies a bit by game - some prefer AMD, some Nvidia, some are neutral). However in saying all that for AMD you options are 1) R9 290 or 2) Stretch a little for a 290X.
  15. Multitasking, workstation type stuff - triples Racing/flying games (specifically simulator type stuff) - triples FPS and most other games - ROG Swift
  16. Anything changed in the house layout recently? Anything metal or electromagnetic radiation-emitting e.g. cordless phones?
  17. Sure, I see self-advertisement as being different to advertising other companies. Bring it on, you'll only get more donations and I doubt anyone will be supremely annoyed.
  18. Between MSY and PC Case Gear here in Aus. PC Case Gear has a (much) better website and better range, but are only in Melbourne. MSY have stores all over the place so if you don't want to pay or wait for or take the risks of shipping MSY is better for that.
  19. Windows and Mac - Windows 7 on my gaming PC, OS X 10.9 Mavericks on my MacBook Pro. May upgrade to 10.10 Yosemite after I've finished school (one week to go), honestly just don't want to deal with it right now. TBH I actually prefer the look of Mavericks though, similar to how I prefer W7's Aero over W8's Metro...
  20. Fair enough, I was just thinking because sometimes people relocate "old" builds that are still reasonably new because they're repurposing it for media PC/spouse's/sibling's PC or something. S340 is probably the one to go for if you're not looking to spend a ton of money, looks good, is a mid tower, is inexpensive but still has a good range of features.
  21. Well, that's why they're a mATX case. My suggestion being that you get a new, mATX motherboard and reuse your ATX motherboard in your new build (or not). Just a suggestion.
  22. Consider an mATX case? Just that bit smaller, can do pretty much anything most people would want to do with a full ATX board.
