  1. <blows dust off the folding machine> REACTOR ONLINE SENSORS ONLINE GPU ONLINE ALL SYSTEMS NOMINAL
  2. What browser(s)? What browser plugins do you have installed? Using Flash at all? Have you tried a full clear of nvidia drivers and reinstall clean? Does this happen on the integrated graphics or just on the nVidia?
  3. ... can I send a telepresence robot in a tie?
  4. So imagine you've walked into a DMV... In O365, User 1 is configured to have proxy permissions to User 2's account on User 1's login (think secretary and their boss). This allows User 1 to have email, calendar, etc access to User 2's account without needing the User 2's credentials. So... we have Account 1 with proxy access into Account 2 but then User 1 manually adds Account 2 as a normal account in their Outlook client. Which means that syncing 8 GB of data from User 2's account, and syncing it again on top of the 4 GB from User 1's account (12 GB)... Outlook is trying to pull down User 2's data TWICE.... Bad times and lots of paper being thrown around the room.
  5. <Pulls a shiny rock from his pocket and tosses it over the pond> Define "morality" and determine if morality is absolute or relative. There's your answer.
  6. Yeah, they'll want to know what your experience is with Desktop support and what size of a user-base you've supported.
  7. Most likely this. For a better idea of context, what's the job position?
  8. Background sync of two massive OST files while having both proxy access AND the proxy account added as a second account in Outlook. In short... I HATE EXCHANGE.
  9. Last week... "Holy cow... I have no idea what your computer's trying to do but the reason why Program X is taking forever is because your hard drive is completely thrashing about." "What does that mean?" <Start to explain thrashing> <Notice user's eye are glazing> "Ahh... forget that. Think of it this way... your problem is like you've walked into the DMV for a new license and all the agents are running around screaming while throwing paper into the air." "Oh, that makes sense!"
  10. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of security analysts suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.. Also, James has scarred me for life.
  11. Just to get the basics out of the way... What type of cable are you connecting with? Have you tried a different cable of the same type or a different type of cable? On-board video or discrete card?
  12. There's been an Upgrading Our WORST Gaming Rigs, should do a "Upgrading Our WORST Home Network".
  13. First, what OS? (I'm assuming you're using 10) If you just moved all the existing components over but didn't change any hardware... Try a system restore. Try unplugging and reseating everything (Cables / RAM). Maybe there's a loose connection somewhere. If you've got a spare HDD/SDD, unplug the drives in the case, plug in the spare to do a fresh Win10 install. After its done, reboot it a few times to see if you get the same error on the spare drive. If it's not a connection issue, Microsoft's KBs point to a coruption with the system hive. Best case, use the installer to repair the OS. Middle case, reset Win10. Worst case, you'll need to back up everything and reinstall Win10. Worst worst case, your OS drive is dying and corrupting data.
