  1. Hello, I want a hosting that will run NodeJS and MongoDB. I'm familiar with NodeJS but not that much with MongoDB, I've learned about MongoDB and noSQL databases but I'm not sure how it's running on a server. To run NodeJS I need to use a SSH server to install all the stuff on it, do I need to install mongoDB also on a linux server like nodeJS? The other thing would be, which hosting company should I use? I was looking at AWS but it might become expensive I guess? I've read a bit about AWS and you pay for what you're using, but what if someone DDOS you and uses more that you want to? So you would pay like 400$ at the end of a month or something. I have a DigitalOcean account and was using nodeJS on it. Not sure which provider is best for me.
  2. Hi, where can I get a beanbag like this? It looks fluffy and able to fit my ass in it ?
  3. Depends on you what you like, you can clearly see where is what, in HTML you have all that nested things and then you end up somewhere with 50 nested elements and you are searching and searching... In my code you can see what the parent is at the start... You can either init it at start and then add (that will make the load smoother) or you add elements first and then init it. Init means adding the whole element somewhere. So to add it somewhere else, you don't need to look for the start and ending element etc, you just change the init. Everyone likes something else, I'm doing it mainly for my needs and for fun. If someone likes it, use it ^.^
  4. Current state. I'm able to finance a notebook up to 2k (could be higher but I see no point in doing that.). Option 1: Buying the Thinkpad E580 15" with a i5 8250U inside that reaches about ~525 points in Cinebench. But it has a iGPU that I'm worried will lag or something. This laptop will be my "coding laptop" and also a normal laptop where I will watch movies, netflix etc. I don't want that the mouse will start feeling "soapy" because the iGPU is rendering frames to slow or something. I've read that this Laptop lasts about 7h and not 13h like Lenovo says, not sure if he had a iGPU tho, I saw only that he was using also a E580 with a 8250U. (600Euros / No financing needed) Option 2: Buying the Thinkpad E580 15" with a i7 8550U except this one has a RX550 built in. The 8550U is 30-40 points faster than the i5 8250U, so nvm that. Now because it has a AMD GPU inside, how long will the battery last? (820Euros / No financing needed) Option 3: Buying the Thinkpad X1 Extreme with a i5 8300H reaches 800 points (that is a bit higher) and has a 1050ti inside. (1860Euros without financing and 2050Euros financed included everything) I want a good laptop and not be like "Damn, it's lagging bla bla". Using currently the Elementary OS and I love it. My issue with those laptops is that I don't feel the buttons and when typing fast on flat keycaps I'm missing and misclicking a lot. I tried my aunts Lenovo Ideapad 320 (something with i5 8k series) and I don't like the keyboard. I was in MediaMarkt near me today and the Helios had bit "harder" keys and that was cool, I couldn't find any Thinkpad in the store I was in. But from what I'm remembering I could write fast on a thinkpad, maybe not as fast as I'm doing now. https://geizhals.de/?cmp=1753890&cmp=1753881&cmp=1879904
  5. 1. https://geizhals.de/?cat=nb (It has all stores in germany + it fetches for the lowest price.). 2. Depends, If it's REALLY worth the price. It can be 700, 1k, 1.3k, 1.8k, not sure If I would like to go near 2K. 3. Atom Editor, NodeJS, I use for example a SASS compiler in AE. Shouldn't also be slow, I like to have few Tabs, windows open etc. 4. Battery not lower than 7h when coding. 5. I want a good display, I was looking for IPS displays. (6.) I won't be buying a Laptop for the next few years (or if it breaks). Should be a solid laptop that I can have on my lap that won't get hot as hell. "LAP-TOP", want to use that feature ?
  6. I guess I will need to visit a store and look at 15" 17" laptops and then choose based on that.
  7. Not really, the schenker has a 120hz panel, but they didn't add it. I reported it that these laptops have 120hz. I'm thinking now between those two... I will not play on this laptop but still thinking. https://geizhals.de/?cmp=1978426&cmp=1849320&cmp=1983944 17" + 1060 6GB or 15" + RTX 2060 6GB But coding on a 17" should be better right ?
  8. I don't do school since 6-7 years ^.^ What do you mean by "good keyboards" ?
  9. Hi, I will run Linux so I don't mind the OS. Which one is the most reliable? (For the price.) https://geizhals.de/?cmp=1978426&cmp=1849320&cmp=1928033 (In english) https://skinflint.co.uk/?cmp=1978426&cmp=1849320&cmp=1928033
  10. Didn't see that, pretty cool! But I like mine more m(root, "bla"); doesn't feel the same to me. Single page websites are written in HTML but not fully in Javascript.
  11. Hi, I was bored and was wondering if it's possible to build a website with one index file and javascript. When I showed this to my friend he said that it's cool and he will try it, because of that I bought a domain and start working more... much more on it. I'm working on it since a week or two. Whole day after I come from the work. I was "creating" elements with the use of "innerHTML" but this has few flaws, so after some research, I found out how to create nodes and mastered it(?). I'm working now on a function that will highlight all the code syntax (don't look in the console :d). Web -> https://frontendjs.org Repo -> https://github.com/damiantoczek/frontendjs.org My code could be cleaner but yeah ?
  12. I had the need to run all at ultra and 8xSGSSAA back in the days when I had my Lightning Z but I got over it. Have now a good P/P-PC and changed my hobbies to cars and coding. ^.^ I don't play the "GPU hungry AAA" games. I will stay in the xx60 range with mainly good price/performance value. If you want a cheap deal, get a Vega 56 and flash a 64 bios on it.
  13. You had few good points there but non of this isn't unfamiliar to me. I know that everything that needs to be produced is bad for the env. I know that Teslas look good on paper but the BMW i3 and Prius 2018 use less power to produce and will do less damage to the env than tesla or gasoline. One of many articles on the internet: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_vehicle There are no env-friendly cars, computers or anything, unless it's powered by recoverable energy, but if everything starts running with electricity, the energy farms won't be able to supply all the energy to people. About your 9900K OC etc. I'm using a Ryzen 2600 @stock and a GTX 1060 6Gb, My whole setup is consuming 95Watt while idling, in 9 days it used 17kw of energy. How do I know this? https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01IDMHYMS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm not saying "don't use any sort of energy just be a vegetable.". I'm just saying that people should look if it's worth to use way more watt than necessary. For example: 100FPS, 600Watt vs 90FPS, 450Watt. I mean, why not 450Watt? There is almost no difference between 100FPS and 90FPS. I'm working on a test Just because I'm curious what the results will be and will share my experience like linus does ? because why not?
  14. @Stefan Payne We're both from Germany, idk how about you, but the avg price per 1KW is about 30cent. For people who upgrade each 4 years and play alot, 6h+ each day, the power bill will get high... about 60€ more vs nvidia per year. I calculated it and buying "cheaper" AMD GPUs isn't really cheaper. If you're using windows, it doesn't matter if your Nvidia driver has propretary "shit" in it. Looks like you're trying to "fight" me for no reason. It's my opinion, I care about the environment. I think bit different than you. Your 4Fps or less for 100Watt more power consumption won't improve your gameplay. But if 100 000 people think the same way, it's not just 100watt anymore. The bottom line is that you don't care about the earth, when it's to late, we all will sit at home crying. (Prob in 2050-2060)
  15. Take the Nvidia one, AMD should lower the TDP on those things. It's not funny anymore. AMD makes a AMAZING job with CPUs but GPUs are just bad. I would buy a AMD GPU ONLY for Linux OS.
  16. #NewProblem I have a function that creates element nodes by using arrays. // Create a JS element. // create(["a", { href: "#"}, "myLink"]); function create(x){ let element = x[0], child = x[1], node = document.createElement(element), i = 1; if (typeof child === "object" && child !== null && !isArray(child)){ for (let attr in child) node[attr] = child[attr]; i = 2; } let l = x.length; for (; i < l; i++){ if( isArray(x[i]) ) node.appendChild( create(x[i]) ); else node.appendChild( document.createTextNode(x[i]) ); } return node; } Everything is working except I can't create an element with a class name. Like for example: create(["p", { class: "info" }]); I can use any attribute, except this class attribute How can I fix that ?
  17. It might be "logic" to you what you want, but to mess up someones code is pretty hard. The info you gave me, just do a reverse for loop, the first will be the last etc. let i = array.length, array = [xy]; for(;i == 0;i-- ){ console.log(array[i]); } If you want a better answer, start posting your code here. If you're woried about someone stealing your stuff, I have bigger projects on my github where people can download it..
  18. Imho I'm using one and I get almost all games 60Fps+. Tell me which game I will see if that's true.
  19. Ryzen 2600 Stock GTX 1060 6Gb (2100Mhz OC) Also having a 1440p monitor, BO4 ~85FPS, CSGO 300+, BF5 was about 100-110FPS. I would go with 1660ti or a used 1060 6GB.
  20. Found it, it lost scope because of "window.onload".
  21. Yeah, I can imagine that but how do I set global variables?
  22. Is there any way to share variables between js files? I have one JS file with classes and one js file with a frontend "template". frontend.js // Create Objects const header = new Nav("header"), nav = new Nav("nav"), main = new Element("main"), aside = new Element("aside"), footer = new Nav("footer"); // Add nodes to the body element. header.init(document.body); nav.init(document.body); main.init(document.body); aside.init(document.body); footer.init(document.body); // Set objects inner html? header.set([["/loginsystem/index.php","Login"],["/loginsystem/index.php","Signup"]]); nav.set([["#","Home"],["#","Community"]]); footer.add(["https://github.com/damiantoczek/frontend", "Github"]); Now I want to create another html file lets say, signup.html and add a signup.js file and this file should be able to access the created class instances. signup.js // Testing form const signupForm = new Form("signup"); signupForm.init(main.node); signupForm.add([ ["username"], ["password"], ["email"] ]);
