  1. I've heard a lot of people say it should be fine - but I just wanted to hear from some people who might have a greater deal of knowledge relating to things like this. What is the worst case scenario if I successfully upgrade - and for a matter of fact will anything even necessarily go wrong?
  2. Does anyone have any good ideas for things that they would like to see as an npm package? If so, please do leave them below
  3. It doesn't matter what other people think of your build. There is no shame in not having the latest and greatest of components! I myself do not have the most top-end build, but it works for me. If your build is working for you, then that is all that matters.
  4. You're all great!

  5. To those experienced with this topic, I know that this might seem like a bit of a silly query - but I am not too clued up on the hardware side of computing. My neighbor offered to give me his HD5850 for free to use in my computer, but I am unsure if this is an upgrade or a downgrade from what I am currently running in my system. I am using the Vega 11 graphics on my Ryzen 5 2400G. Would installing the HD5850 be an upgrade or a downgrade?
  6. A couple of days ago, I woke up and turned on my PS4 to find out that my DS4 controller was not connecting. I tried syncing it to the console by plugging it in via USB and it didn't work - it wasn't even charging. I tried the reset button - it did not work. I tried charging through my PC - it did not work. I went through Sony's self-help service and it said to me that I would need to get a new controller as it was out of warranty - so today I did that. I opened the box, plugged it in via USB - nothing. I tried charging through PC - nothing. However, I could get it to connect to my computer via Bluetooth, and DS4Windows said the controller had 30% battery left. I have tried everything using different USB cables, and using different ports on my PlayStation and computer - nothing is working. Can anyone offer any help? I can not get Sony's attention at all and I am stressing quite a lot, as money is rather tight this month and I didn't really want to waste £50 on a controller that might not ever be used.
  7. empty bed by cavetown is a song i can relate to a lot right now.
  8. I thought up a little forum game that may be a bit of fun - you have to take the name of a film, and try and make as uninteresting as possible. A simple example is changing "Iron Man" to Ironing Man.
  9. I'm interested to see what you guys will say. I'm currently undecided myself.
  10. If you want to block some of your digital distractions, I can recommend Cold Turkey, it is a very good website blocker, and also doubles up as an application blocker meaning that you can block things like Steam from opening. The best thing is, you can set a time and until that time is up it can not be disabled - meaning you are stuck doing your work. If you find it too intense that you can't disable your block after putting it on, you can just turn off the locking feature. As for things you can do away from the computer, find some students that you can study with, be well rested, eat well, and exercise, plan out your day so that you can spend it more efficiently - and most importantly, have fun. You should push yourself, just don't push yourself too hard. Remember, you're still a human, and you need to tend to your social needs and you need to enjoy yourself, otherwise life will get harder and harder by the day. Good luck with your studies ?
  11. Ah woops, sorry about that. I'm not too clued up on Crossfire.
  12. Look into AMD Crossfire. I would for you if I had enough spare time, but I am quite busy at the moment. But yeah, I think that should work. https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/crossfire
  13. What motherboard is it exactly? Also, you'd have to work quite hard to find a buyer for something like that you realise, I think old motherboard collecting is quite a niche thing.
  14. Sleep is just horrible. Normally it works for me, but quite a lot of the time it just doesn't wake up no matter what and I have to restart my computer. It's stupid.
