There is no such thing as too much, it just depends on how much you want to clean up. (that stuff is impossible to clean too...)

MSI CoreLiquid 360R? That's been recalled because they fail so often. That's probably what happened to you.

@GuiltySpark_ I think you got another one

In addition to the AIO recall, I think a little more thermal paste is needed. Seems a little thin. And which case do you have, OP?

That amount of spread is fine, it's just that this AIO has been recalled. This exact thing happened many different times, pretty cut and dry.

Judging by the amount of paste on there and the lack of any spread to that bottom corner, I'm going to go with "not enough mounting pressure"

I think a pump failure would manifest much worse than the temps you're getting.

This is going to be my legacy. The guy who noticed the trend of MSI AIO's failing before it was ever made official. I'm ok with this. 🤣

    I'm glad i could help ?
Reading your troubleshoot, I could clearly see I went through the exact same trouble myself.

I also thought "how could this be the solution, that sounds sort of far fetched ?"
    A good question.
For someone with more knowledge to answer.

Hi, I had something pretty similar happening to me (buzzing sounds for a couple of seconds, full system freeze for a couple of seconds, audio disconnect/reconnect notices...).
    I have 1 SSD + 2HDDs in my setup.

I smashed the Gremlin (?) by disabling an option putting an HDD to sleep by default after 20min of inactivity.
    I switched it to "never".

Perhaps that could also work for you.
