Hi everyone of this awesome community,

I have had the last two weeks the most head breaking problem whit my Bluetooth.
It just disappaered, no trace of Bluetooth ever existing on my laptop.
I go to setting but couldn't turn it on or off. couldn't add any devices.

I tried all this but whit no luck.
    Things that DID NOT work:
Using the Windows 10 quick actions panel to turn on Bluetooth.
Result: This option did not appear at all. Using Control Panel's Bluetooth settings.
Result: This option did not appear at all. Device Manager - scanning for hardware.
Result: No effect.  Drivers for the hidden Bluetooth devices were already up to date. Windows Updates.
Result: No effect. Reinstalling the recommended Acer drivers for the package (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377).
Result: No effect. Performing a typical restart of Windows.
Result: No effect. Using services.msc to start, restart, or reconfigure Bluetooth-related services.
Result: No effect. Reinstalling third party driver packages for the same hardware.
Result:  The installer would not complete because the Bluetooth hardware was not detected. Windows Troubleshooter for Bluetooth.
Result:  The troubleshooter would not complete because the Bluetooth hardware was not detected. The one thing that fixed it all!!

Do a complete shut down (hold SHIFT and shut down the computer), unplug the computer from all power for 10 seconds, plug the computer in and start the computer.
It just reappeared and worked fine.

Finally this fucking he-adage of a problem is over. I wanted to share this because i noticed lots of people having this problem.
My network chip is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter in a Acer Aspire E5-575G ligthly modified whit extra ram and storage.

    Have a great day.

For whatever reason I was having the same issue.  Here's my backstory.  I was trying to hook-up my Raycon wireless earbuds to my PC so when I am recording my tutorial videos I can hear what I am saying (and to make sure the recording level is correct and there are no sound issues).  When I went into Bluetooth settings there was no On/Off switch.  So I spent hours trying to figure out how to get this On/Off switch back on my computer with ZERO luck.  Then while researching this someone recommended I buy a USB Bluetooth adapter.   That sounded awesome and a quick fix.  Boy was I wrong.  I went to install the drivers from the Targus website and received this error, "COULD NOT START MICROSOFT BLUETOOTH STACK.  PLEASE REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER AND TRY AGAIN."

After 3 reboots and it still giving me the same error, I typed the error code into Google and that's how I found this thread.

Unfortunately, the whole, "shut down computer and pull the power plug for 10 seconds" didn't work either.  Did anyone find a way to fix this yet???

Probably best to make your own thread in troubleshooting.  If you read the thread there are pinned posts at the top that list the kind of info generally needed and guides to fix some common issues.

WAHOO!!!  I took a break from banging my head against the wall, played cards with the family, and came down with an open mind.  Since the installation of the Targus Bluetooth adapter kept failing, I went to Targus website and just downloaded the latest driver for my operating system and everything is working just fine.  Now I need to figure out if I can pair my bluetooth headphones or not.

But man, that was 6 hours of troubleshooting those various errors with Bluetooth disappearing that I'll never get back.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Created an account here to say thank you. I was having the same problem and found your post. I was going through it line by line to try everything you had when I came on this. I didn't realise devices can be hidden in device manager, so I showed hidden items and there was the bluetooth items. I uninstalled the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, and Windows reinstalled it for me and that fixed it. I can now use bluetooth again.

I'm guessing a failed Windows update or something broke it. I did have some problems with other drivers recently too.

I just made an account here to thank you so much. Had problems with bluetooth for 3 days now and just couldn't find out what was wrong. Hopefully it does not disappear again. Thanks once more and happy holidays.

Minimal screen brightness might give you some extra time away from the wall... On the bright side laptop gets lighter when you remove battery. There should be some better built-in software to save batteries.
I'll just add, never ever leave laptop on the floor during winter night in a cabin that is only heated by fireplace.
