i did both downloaded and just to make sure i tried the ones on the cd.

would that fix it for me ?

i built my PC a year ago and was too lazy to get around to fixing this problem. ill start with that i installed all the drivers for my motherboard and when the online ones didnt work i tried the cd. ( good thing i didnt throw it away as linus ond others like to do.) and that didnt work. so im here looking for help. the ports are connected to the motherboard and both front and rear usb ports dont work. all they do is give power but no data. maby it is my inexperience and lack of knowlage, cause i am only trying to use devices that are for usb 2.0. so more info on the ports and maby how to fix them would be nice. if you need any aditional info just tell me.

Well, i guess it all stated a little more than a year ago. * cool flashback animation* I was siting at my 10 year old computer that had just been trouble since i can remember. I was thinking oh would in not be nice to have a good pc ! And so i became dedicated to geting a new one. I got a job at a supermarket, it was terrible, But it was a way to get money. So after working the whole summeri finaly had it the incredible thing called money. and so i started looking for parts. it was tough cause i didnt know much about parts but thats when linustechtips comes in, ofcourse there were others ToT, pauls hardware. and more. I watched the videos for days. and then finaly i had the best combination i could come up with and soon after it was on the way to my house. It was glorious :wub: ! loved the unboxing part .. oooh and puting it together ! that was easy with the help of some videos. After puting it together and geting the software stuffed in there it became clear that there will be problems. again youtube videos helped with that. While i did set some problems aside to later tackle using the helping minds on this forum like the usb 3.0 not working ( it was and still is a mistery to me. After allthat was done it felt so great i had to get more so I started to plan an upgrade...still working on that. And that brings us here. About what i want to see on the channel ? I really find it hard to chose a fan controller i wat a cheap one but a good one a good looking one but it should not compromise on other things. so many fan controllers and so many diferent reviews, both bad and good. but in linus we trust so if that would show up on the cahnnel i would be happy. good day to you all and well. good luck.

my favorite thing is the screen. cause so often when i use any laptop in bed or sitting i need the screen to be clear in as many positions as posible. just makes it more comfortable.

the msi gtx770 is about the same as the gigabyte r9 270x. is it better than the 270x ?

what about the power output (watage? the like mine is 430w). sorry. i am not able to form the question correctly.

eourope, Latvia. with all games i play on setings that give me 30 or more fps. i start with hight and tune down to get the desierable fps. the power suply doesnt have the requiered connectors and i dont think with the molex to 6pin/8pin video card connectors will suply enough power. if i get the r9 270x is there any manufacturer you can sugest or should i stick with the gigabyte card. And if i upgrade what power suply should i get ?

I am thinking of upgrading my pc. I am not smart/experienced enough to decide if i want to add another videocard and use sli or swich to another video card. Both would probably require a psu upgrade. at the moment i am using a SLI compatible mother board, an gigabyte gtx650 TI boost 2 gb, amd FX-6300, 8gm of corsaire vengeance ram and corsair cx430m. The target for me is higher fps and if posible better looks. the video card im using is afordable and runs well, a new video card would cost more but renders much better. in both cases the psu would need an upgrade. For the videocard upgrade i was thinking about geting a gigabyte radeon r9 270x, about the psu i am verry inexperienced so i do not know what to chose. for me the price diference for the video cards is r9 270x costs 3 times as much. And of course i want to get the result and spend less. what are the pros and cons of the 2 choises? if you need any more info just ask, i will respond as soon as posible. thank you in advance.
