Mateus Montemor replied to Mateus Montemor's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory

Fist time using a amd cpu for a while and i was wondering, how do i check the temps for it? With intel, HWMonitor, afterburner and all programs used to show that, where is that with ryzen?

3700x which b450 board u reccomend?
Mateus Montemor replied to lillo9546's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
i myself bought the b450 tomahawk, it was the most reccommended to me in here and all other forums, bios flashback update and good vrms, my parts are here in my house, just waiting for the case to arive so i can build it, so next week i problably will have a better awnser. Here is a list about vrms for OC new zen 2 chips https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d9_E3h8bLp-TXr-0zTJFqqVxdCR9daIVNyMatydkpFA/htmlview?sle=true#gid=639584818 -
Thanks a lot for the help, sadly phantek doesnt work here in brasil and fractal design is imported by 1 store, which makes the meshify c 75 dollars more expensive than the cooler master h500, i have found the thermaltake commander c36 for the same price as the cooler master one, do u know something about its cable management?
-
Hi guys,im building a new PC, my plan was to keep the thermaltake chaser a41, but since i went with 3700x instead of the 9700k i was able to save money in cpu itself and the cooler, with the cpu price difference i bought an ssd and since ryzen comes with wraith prism im thinking in not getting the noctua nh 12a that i was aiming for with the i7 (noctua coolers are overpriced here in brasil since 1 store that imports and sells them), so now i have that extra money for a upgrade. I have two options: go for another case or keep the case and the money and maybe next year i upgrade my gpu. Looking around the new case i found a cooler master H500 and there is my doubt, is it worth it over the chaser a41? Whats the comparison in terms of airflow and cable management between both? And do u guys have other cases suggestions over h500?(take it in account im in brasil and here is kinda hard/expensive to find some brands) PS: Maybe a thing to considerate is that i only found win10 installation in DVD format here in my town and the chaser has the bay for dvd drive (i have one), but most cases dont have it nowadays.

3700x big improvement over i7 4790?
Mateus Montemor posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
My last post was about 9700k vs 3700x and almost all of you guys recommended me the ryzen, but my question now it is: will i notice a good upgrade from my i7? My main focus is in csgo, now in a 128 tick/16 players deathmatch i reach an average of 200 fps, my goal with the upgrade is to reach at least 240 + fps average in the same situation. And i know the gpu is not the problem for that, since source engine benefits more from cpus than gpu (my 1070 dont even gets used above 50% in cs). Since I`ve been looking into this for months, i know the i7 9700k will deliver me that, but what about the ryzen 3700x? do u guys have any suggestion to where to look for CS benchmarks with this chip? And to max out the use of my gpu in 1080p, which of the both would u go? The images are what i will buy after i chose (keeping my ssd,hd and case. And buying for both noctua nh u12a) -
Is the COOLER WRAITH PRISM ok for the 3700x?
Mateus Montemor replied to Mateus Montemor's topic in Cooling
Ok, i guess i will chose now, thanks for the awnser -
Looking at all the reviews, the new ryzen doesnt OC much and is very power efficient, so is the stock cooler ok for it? Or should i buy another cooler? Because if not necessary i might be able to buy a new ssd for my new PC

Mateus Montemor replied to Mateus Montemor's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Thanks, think i will go for a nice b450 (will pay attention to the BIOS thing) + 3700x and problably buy a larger SSD, thanks for the help guys -
i7 9700k or ryzen 3700x?
Mateus Montemor replied to Mateus Montemor's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So u guys think its better for me to go with an amazing b450 model that is way cheaper than a entry x570 and maybe realocate the money elsewhere? Like a NVME ssd or something? -
i7 9700k or ryzen 3700x?
Mateus Montemor replied to Mateus Montemor's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Yeah, my only "concern" is that i want to go for x570 (be ready for PCI-E 4.0 and stuff), but the more affordable ones here are from MSI, like the model i said, and i never really worked with their mobos+BIOS, are they good? -
Buying a new system, but keeping the SSD and HDD
