Update: Tested with prime95 to double check stability and got error, changed ram to 3000mhz instead of 36000mhz, no errors, planning on testing it longer(1h or so instead of 15 minutes). Maybe my ram doesn't work fine at 3600mhz or needs more than the 1.35V the XMP profile gives, not sure what's going on. I'll report back when I further test with prime95. EDIT: instead of closing prime95 i minimized it so it run for 1h, 30 minutes with 0 errors with ram at 3000mhz, it seems something is fucked with ram at 3600mhz then ?

Hi, I have msi afterburner logs and HWiNFO logs in first post when I was benchmarking some games were you can see the high frame times and fps drops with a lot of data being monitored. I'll try to post a pic later today or tomorrow of my pc. I can't put a screen grab of MSI showing all data. I've looked at them a few times but I can't figure out what caused this issue, power limits and voltage limits are reached many times with gpu but that's normal,I can see that the gpu memory and clock had drops when massive stutters and 20fps drops or so but don't know what caused them. As I said I'm without a gpu right now but I'm pretty sure the issue wasn't with the card. Here i add the cpu-z txt file, thanks for your time. cpu-z.txt

No mate, i said in the original post I returned the 2080 as I couldn't figure out why it was stuttering and dropping frames so badly and now I don't have any gpu. The log files from my first post are from when I was testing the 2080(all ultra 1440P getting 80+ fps in every single game) and this userbenchmark was just passed right now to see if it found any anomalies in the other components. thanks for your time

From what I see the cpu load was not even near 50% total in most games, cpu clocks are stock so when multiple cores are used they where 4300Mhz i believe, gpu would work up to 99% but then drop 20fps and some frame times having 200ms render times(also, I think my frame times in general were bad with a lot of 40ms frame times while being 60+ fps). I really don't know much about it but in the log files you can see yourself as how when i get the massive stutters my gpu clock and memories would downclock too I can see my pagefile in msi afterburner full on yellow but had same issues in other games were the pagefile didn't go full. that one no, didn't even know about it, I just run it(I dont have gpu at this time) and this were the results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11978295 thanks both of you for trying to help me, I appreciate it.

Hi, so I had some massive fps drops and stuttering in game when my 2080 arrived, and as I couldn't find the solution, I had to send it back but I really doubt it was the cardAt the beginning of the year I had a power surge due to some problem in my installation(fixed right after my gpu died) that fried my gpu and some months later my motherboard died too so I updated all of my PC except for HDDs, KrakenX62 and psu and was waiting for new gpus to buy one(the 2080), that's why I think that the problems I had could be caused by my PSU.My PC is: SO: Windows 10 with latest update(I think it was 1809)CPU: 8700K Stock with Kraken X62 for cooling( always low-mid 50s while gaming, no thermal problem, also 20 minutes of prime95 and 20 minutes of OCCT and 0 problems).GPU: was a 2080 but i think would have same problem with other demanding gpu(also, was never above 68-69º when gaming so no thermal problem).motherboard: Asrock z370 Killer sli, updated bios to latest version and stuttering was the same.Ram: it's 16gb ddr4 3600mhz from hyperx, don't know exact model( passed windows ram diagnostic and 1 pass of memtest86 with 0 errors).Hard drives I have 1 crucial of 128gb(one of the first ssds and where i have my windows install), 1 samsung pro and 2 1tb hdds, crystalmark says they're all fine and have same stuttering and framedrops with games installed in one of the HDDs or the samsung pro.PSU: corsair hx850i platinum certified. After my gpu died it was tested on another pc with a 1060 and a 1070 and no issues but a 2080 needs more watts so... Also tested it with some cheap psu tester and the 12v rail and other ones gave good values according to it but I don't have a good tester that I could try under load though.I really don't have anybody that can lend me another psu or motherboard or even a high end gpu to test on my pc. So I don't know what it could be or what to try.I've tried a fresh reinstall of windows from a pendrive, few Nvidia drivers using DDU, gsync on and off, high performance on windows and on Nvidia Panel, same games in different hard drives, reseated psu cables(and I think I changed the 8pins too) and some more things I don't even remember. I really don't know what to do, maybe I should buy a new PSU when I buy a new gpu to be safe. Hi mate, I had a similar issue with frametimes but much worse(more spikes to 40-50ms and huge spikes of 100 and 200+ms which causes massive stutters) with a 2080, 8700K stock and 16gb ddr4 3600mhz. I sent the gpu back because I couldn't find a solution after trying many things like you do. Now I'm scared to buy another gpu and have the same issue. I tested my cpu with 20 minutes of prime95 and 20 minutes of OCCT to test for stability issues and no errors, my ram with windows diagnostc tool for ram and with 1 pass of memtest86 and 0 errors. I can't test my motherboard or psu because I don't have others(well, I have a shitty psu but didn't want to use it with my current build) but I think maybe our PSUs are faulty... If you find a solution to your problem let me know, thanks
