Thanks for the replies, found out battlefield 1 open beta is on Aug 31, so not that long before we get more benchmarks? How close would open beta optimisation/performance be compared to official release? I guess I will wait a little before purchasing.

I want to get a new GPU before I go back to Uni mid September. I have r9 280 which I got similar time 2 years ago and was able to game on Battlefield 4 high settings 60+ fps comfortably, also GTA 5 as well. But now it is struggling to run new titles comfortably such as Just Cause 3. I mostly play LOL, cs go and other competitive games which the 280 can handle easily. I only play titles that I fanboy over such as Battlefield and GTA but hardly care about other AAA titles which require high gpu performance. I know that BF1 is releasing soon and I doubt that my current GPU can handle it comfortably therefore I am looking for a new GPU around £250-£300 mark. At this price point the choice is clearly between 480 and 1060 but am unsure which one to get. I know the arguments that 1060 is beats the 480 atm and that 480 beats 1060 on some dx12 titles. I am very unsure since 1060 beats 480 atm but I know that future titles are going to be dx12, aslo rx 480 has 2gb more ram and am unsure how big of a difference that is going to make. I am again looking to upgrade in 2-3 years but for now I want to get GPU for BF1. Please advise me which GPU to purchase. Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure whether to buy a new headset around £100 or get modmic for M40x that I have been using. I've loved using the m40x for around 1 year now but now I need a mic so I can communicate whilst gaming. I've been looking at headset around £100 such as siberia v3, corsair h2100, logitech etc.. but not sure if their audio quality are going to be as good as m40x. Will getting modmic be better? if not what headphone can you recommend cause I am leaning towards steel series siberia v3 prism.

I have 21.5" monitor and I use 1440x900 resolution which is 16:10 aspect ratio. The monitor specification states that it is a 16:9 aspect ratio therefore I have tried using 1600x900 however it does not fit well on the screen since there are black bar, I have also tried 1280x1080 resolution however it does't feel right, some things when gaming feels fuzzy compared to 16:10 aspect ratio. What resolution/aspect ratio should I be using for a 21.5" monitor? Also I was thinking of changing from 1440x900 resolution to 1680x1050 however I think it is too high for the small monitor making everything quite smaller. Which one is more suitable for the size of the monitor?

What are some good/trusted and popular websites which have information and reviews on earphones?

Can't decide between the two but I am leaning towards the h440 because of its looks. Also I have found some temperature test results at http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/nzxt_h440/5.htm and nzxt seems to perform better however it is cause it has more fans. I do plan to water cool in the future. Also I am not sure about the side panel foam on the nzxt(not window side) since I have seen it can get damaged from cables, will it have any effect on performance? I'm looking for a case with windowed side panel, dust filters and support for water cooling since I plant to water cool in the future. I'll be willing to spend up to £100 if the case is perfect. I have looked around but haven't found the perfect one. I like the functionality and air cooling potential CM 690 III and the looks are ok however I really prefer the looks of NZXT H440W however I can't decide since I am not sure about its cooling potential, it looks quite restrictive. Basically these are the case choices I am stuck between- Phanteks entho pro (white), CM 690 III, Define R4 Windowed, NZXT H440W. Thanks in advance.

I am leaning towards the r9 280 however I found the specs (i think) and it definitely seems similar to the 280 but by looking at the specs how much of a performance difference would there be? Planning to buy a new GPU however stuck between 2 GPU's. How much more of a performance difference is there between these 2 GPU's? From research it seems that r9 270X will be able to run games at high settings at high resolution 1080p~ and for few years. Or should I wait for new GPU R9 285 which I heard is going to be released soon however don't have any clue on the price or performance. Is 280 worth or will 270X be enough for couple of years at those settings as I plan to maybe replace it again.

Asus 6670 gpu, I looked at the temperature today and it was running quite hot. When I looked at why it was, it was because the fan was not spinning. When manually restarting it briefly spins for 1-2 seconds then stops again. I have also tried configuring on AMD catalyst control center and tried to manually control the fan. Weirdly the fan spins when I put the fan speed at more than 80%, below that it doesn't spin. I also switched to a different PCIE however the same problem exists. Please help, thanks in advance.

Hello, I am planning to buy a mechanical keyboard with cherry mx blue switches. I have researched and narrowed down to 2 under £90. CM Storm quick fire tk which is back lit or Razer Blackwidow 2013 expert? The cm storm quick fire tk is blue back lit however the layout is of the number pad and arrow keys are weird, also there is no wrist rest. The razer has normal layout, also it will match with my razer mouse and mouse pad, it has wrist rest however it is not backlit. The current keyboard I use doesn't have back lit and I use it in the dark, also I am comfortable without it. Does the light make any difference? I am attracted to CM storm as it is backlit and razer since it will match with my other peripherals.

What about performance?

I'm looking for HDD to store game, budget is low £50 but I only want 500GB storage. I am currently very indecisive between two drives from seagate and WD. They are similar price (with deliver) and same specs. WD Blue Drive (link) and Seagate (link), I am indecisive because there have been more reviews about HDD that didn't work from seagate and some have said that WD is little slower. Also is WD more reliable than seagate?
