  1. It was from 1.376 stock Clocks are at 5300 I just tried 1.25 llc 6 but i'm a bit surprised by the vdrop or is it normal / fine?
  2. Hello, I got a 13700KF on an ASUS strix z790 Gaming-E. Cooling is ryujin 2 360 with a12x25 fans. Haven't tweaked much on it, all i did was lowering vcore to 1.315, i let llc auto. (3) Temps on CB23 went from 91c to 76c max which is great. During gaming, depends on game, between high 40 to low 60. I would like to know if those settings seems ok, if i can leave it as it is or try something else like offset vcore or go for highe LLC / lower vcore? thanks
  3. Hi, I'm having lots of issues with my rig since few weeks : To provide all infos : The pc was mounted more than a year ago and after lots of hours of testing and stressing it was all fine for a year. No issue whatsoever. Only thing i've changed recently is the AIO, went for a Ryujin 2. Temps are good, 75c on CB20/23 and between 50 and 70c while gaming depending on how CPU intense the game is. System Configuration/Specifications - 1.CPU : 5900x 2.Motherboard : Dark Hero VIII 3.UEFI/BIOS version : 3801 4.DRAM/RAM : Gskill trident neo 3600 / 32gb (8x4) Graphics Card : Asus strix 3090 Power Supply Seasonic Prime Ultra 1000 titanium Storage device ( SSD/HDD ) : NVME : Sabrent SSD 1TB Rocket Nvme SSD: Samsung EVO 850 - 250Go + Samsung EVO 850 - 500Go My issues started few weeks ago : I remember I had a small issue when installing a fan I pressed the "safe boot" button by error. I booted into bios but mouse wasn't reponding so I forced shutdown and i had some issues then, when using retry button it booted normally. Few days after, at f irst it was QCode 00 two times, one time during gaming, one time on a spreadsheet. I read that an overtight cpu cooler could cause this, i've loosen it a bit and no Qcode anymore. But : Last week while gaming , WHEA error 18 A fatal hardware error has occurred. reported by component processor core Error source : Machine Check Exception Error type : Cache Hierarchy Error ID APIC du processeur : 4 What i did: I tweaked curve optimiser on core 2, went from -30 to -20 thinking some windows update or maybe just time made my OC a bit less stable And now yesterday First crash : Screen went black, sounds was choped off but still working f but pc was running as nothing happened. I had to shutdown it by the psu. Nothing in event manager or in reliability monitor except than an expected restart. Second crash Few moments later PC restarted when i plugued a external drive to a usb c extender which is plugued in the back of the tower. Screen went black and one of the PCIE of the GPU was flashing. I had to force shutdown What i did at this moment : Reinstall GPU with DDU Disabled all CPU overclock in bios went back to stock power plan (i was using custom by usmus) All seemed fine but few hours later while working, Pc became very slow. Start menu was poping but nothing was responding in it, web page were not loading.. I forced the shut down, restarted and the pc turned itself off when it booted to windows. I rebooted again but it was fine . What I could do? use the clear Cmos button? Upgrade Bios to 4006 (heard 4201 wasn't good?) reinstall windows ? go back to stock cables instead of cablemods? memtest? It's annoying me like hell i'm just losing all will to play, it's also a pain to work on my laptop when i'm remote.. Thanks for the help
  4. It's weird because I had no issues for a long time, Only changed i've made is a new AIO and I read an overtight cooler can cause it so i've loseen it a bit. i've also read that the software argus monitor could cause issue. I've removed it and set up my fans in bios i'm still on bios 3801, should i update it? the issue appeared once on desktop, once while gaming I've just ran few cb20 run, no issues... (see pic for temps and score) i've noticed that the CCD1 is quite warm at startup, 80c+ but just for a few seconds is it normal ? i'm running it with a less tight cooler to see. If it still crashes i will use the a profile without any oc. Should I remove the cmos battery and redo my whole overclock in that case?
  5. Hi It's the second time this week I have a sudden crash of my pc with a qcode 00. Screen goes black and fans are at 100%, i have to turn it off on the psu The pc boots normally when I restart it but I'm worried something is actually failing, I read a code asus might be cpu, psu or motherboard related and I have absolutely no mean to test anything with another mb or cpu. At first I thought it might be power plan related since I've tried to but the minimum cpu state at a lower % but it just did it again when I was playing a game. The board is a dark hero crosshair VIII, cpu amd 5900x I was using the same setting for two years without issues, oc with pbo and curve optimiser. I've just reset the oc settings to run it stock to see if it was the issue but it happens two times at a very different qxe atop one time I was just working on excel, second time when I was gaming. Is my cpu or mb dying or can it be software / bios related knowing those settings were absolutely fine for a long time? I've read it could also be because of bad settings or information remaining in the cmos battery and taking it off for a moment can solve it? Thanks for the help
  6. Hi, I'm having an issue with Armory Crate and controlling my Ryujin Fans. It was working fine but yesterday i had to unplug the aio fan controller to do some cable management.. The fans started to act out, not spinning or one or 2 out of 3 .After a wihile they manage to spin again but now they are detected as maxing at 570 RPM It's litteraly driving me crazy , It was working fine and of course i tried to do it better and now it's all messed up. What i tried: - Plug one fan on each header of the controller instead of using the splitter - Uninstall armory crate multiple times with the uninstaller / reinstall it -I run the fans on the CPU header, they work fine - I did a system restore of few days ago, same issue. - Tried with another AIO controler since i have a spare one, i had to rma another unit for a noise issue and haven't send the previous AIO to Amazon (the pump on the new one is indeed a LOT more silent) but it's not fixing it. So : it's not the fan, it's not the controller. The pump and embedeed fan of the AIO are working fine and can be controlled. I know I can just use the fan on the cpu header with the splitter, it's even better since temps in Armory Crate are 10C lower than they are for real but i hate having something not working as it should be in my rig I'm considering doing a clean reinstall of the OS, but if someone knows what could be the issue... Thanks !
  7. Well it's not too noisy, there is obviously an issue here. if it stayed as it was 3 days ago i'll still be happy about it..
  8. I tried to move the case in all direction without any luck.. Yes at 100% it's 2600 rpm I don't know what to do. Not sure the elite will be better since it's more powerful, or just go for another model like the arctic but I had one and had some issues with it before
  9. The pic isn't clear I guess iss mounted on the top.. I don't know how it could be higher than that
  10. Hi I have an EK Aio 360, temps are all fine, it's mounted on the top rad. However.. I had to RMA three times because of pump noise issue. It's fine at the installation and for a month but after that the pump starts to be noisy above 65 to 80% depending on the case. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KG_CRjdVgho It's really annoying, it sounds like air bubbles but i can't manage to get rid of those. Someone offers me to sell me an ELITE version which has a more powerful pump, would that be of any help? I was considering to buy a Ryujin or go back to the Arctic LF2 but I had some issues with it (noisy vrm fan) Thanks for the help
  11. Hi I have a 5900x on a Dark Hero board, i'm using PBO + curve optimizer with those settings below and I have an EK AIO 360 On CB20 it maxes at 74c @with 4800/4600Mhz In gaming I play I played God of war 3840x2160 No dlss All ultra except shadow on high 80/100 fps 25c ambiant 65 to 73c on cpu 70c on core RTX 3090 strix / 88 to 90 on memory temperature junction is it all fine? my Pbo limits are : PPT Limit [W] [185] TDC Limit [A] [125] EDC Limit [A] [160] No changes in scores in CB20 but not so much changes in temps too. Which of those three limits has the most impact on temps and considering my other settings above, how far do you think I could lower it to lower temps and fan noise? Also, is it a good idea and usefull to put a vcore negative offset while using curve optimiser? 12. Hi I have a 5900x on a Dark Hero board, i'm using PBO + curve optimizer with those settings below and I have an EK AIO 360 I've got an new unit of the AIO and it seems the temps are not great but i had the same issue before but quite random, on the same game for instance temps could be around 50/55 but sometimes go above 70 but with the tests However on CB20 it maxes at 71c @ 5050mhz For instance today I played God of war 3840x2160 No dlss All ultra except shadow on high 80/100 fps 25c ambiant 65 to 73c on cpu 70c on core RTX 3090 strix / 88 to 90 on memory temperature junction is it all fine? Also, Is there any point and is it advised or not to put a voltage offset when using curve optimizer? Like reducing by -0.1125 . Can it be stable and helps with better temps? Here are my settings below if you think there's some to tweak?
