  1. Hey ! i hope you're doing well during this time. I'm trying to find a good laptop to replace my sister's old broken surface. I've been looking at newegg, MemEx, facebook marketplace, kijiji, bestbuy, etc. I'm looking for something small(13.3), portable, with a nice screen. She only does light homework and netflix, so nothing too powerfull is needed. if anyone has personal opinions on certain models i'd be happy to hear it ! thanks
  2. I get max 6 out of both now.. and nothing after a couple seconds
  3. Same ssid, different wifi channels, dhcp disabled
  4. I'm guessing my config on the secondary is the problem, because when i disable it everything else works fine
  5. Hey yall ! I'm nowhere near a Network engineer, but i try my best to keep my house network working. My main router (dir-859) is a located at the opposing end of my house, so connection in the kitchen is less than ideal (3mbps instead of the 40 i get at my desk). I tried fixing that issue with a Second router (dir-655) under the kitchen floor. I wired it up to the primary with cat 6, and follow basic instructions to use it basically as a wifi extender. However results are less than worth it, i get maybe 10mbps in the kitchen and the internet connection keeps dropping out (i can still access the router's ip settings, but no internet)... Anyone have had this problem and/or useful tips on how to fix it ? Thanks in Advance ! Any questions just let me know !
  6. i left it overnight and it fixed itself... but i still have 100% cpu usage and 10% gpu load...
  7. Hi, I've been contributing in the folding month so far, but i seem to have a problem... i left two cores (4 threads on my 8700k) free for my two 1080's to work with, but task manager shows little to no GPU activity and the folding seems to be stopped at 99.9% (on one of the GPU slots). any help would be appreciated.
  8. Thanks for the replies, so in theory it should work.. i'm going to try it and see how it goes !
  9. More like this (quick photoshop included), all the cables (and the bridge) would be behind the graphics cards.
  10. So i'm planning to move my pc from it's case to kind of a display wall where everything would be layed out on the wall. However it's current config is two 1080's in SLI. What i am wondering is if i were to lay the graphics cards on top of each other (backplate on the wall) and use pci-extensions to connect them to the MoBo, could i possibly connect them in SLI ? I've looked around and it seems the maximum length i can find off the shelf is 4-slot ribbon cables... not nearly long enough. If i were to create my own, would there be some kind of performance drop ? would it even work ? thanks in advance
