  1. I've been considering getting an old CRT monitor or TV for use either with emulators or my old Playstation 2. Is there anything I should look out for? Information seems pretty sparse for models I can find in Turkey. Are refresh rates above 100hz achievable on most CRT's, or the high end ones?
  2. OK I'm so dumb. I didn't turn my Modem off and on again. It's working proper now. I'm keeping tabs on it, it's showing proper upload speeds now. Thanks for the reply dude
  3. Hey everyone. I've been having such a tough problem for a while now. My pc has really really low upload speeds. Ookla's Speedtest either doesn't upload altogether, or shows 0.03 Mbps. This has caused me to be unable to upload my crappy musical endeavors on SoundCloud (probably for the better) but also has Discord showing my voice connection in the red. I also can't send images on Whatsapp Web, though text manages to go through. This textpost will no doubt go through as as well. I think it's just that I have really really low upload, not that it's inexistent. I've tried; repairing my ethernet drivers speed testing in safe mode speed test on my phone via wifi (showed proper up speeds) changing my DNS settings from Google DNS back to default ipconfig /flushdns etc in CMD And probably some more stuff I'm forgetting. I suspect that my ethernet cable may be faulty, if one of the 8 wires in it isn't properly connected? We had to re-attach the tip of it after routing it through the wall. We've done this before though, so I dunno if the cable's to blame either. I'm also going to try a USB wireless adaptor, for diagnostic purposes as I'd rather not actually use a wireless connection. Thank you all in advance!
  4. This sounds pretty good to me, but I don't have an aftermarket cooler nor a high end motherboard in my budget. I don't think I'll get far enough with the stock cooler and a low-mid tier board?
  5. I will admit that I had neglected to look at the 2600 as in depth as I should have. I'll also take it into consideration. From what I can tell, it comes in pretty close to the i5 8400 I was originally considering?
  6. Yeah, that's what I've heard about it so far. Seems like a bit better p/p with this lowered price. Are there any feature differences to be aware of? Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'd rather go with an Intel, mostly because I'm more interested in gaming performance than workstation performance. I've heard AMD has the upper hand in that regard, while coming slightly behind in gaming.
  7. I've been saving up for an i5 8400 now, and I have about enough to buy the chip itself. However, I just checked our country's Amazon (which opened very recently woo) and the i5 8500 is about 30 usd or so cheaper than the 8400! I think it's because there are only 20 or so units left in stock. Do you think I should jump the gun and get it? Are there any major differences between the 8500 and 8400 besides a 100mhz difference? Thanks!
