    You two aren't wrong, and I edited the OP:  YouTube is acquiring partnerships to expand on it.  I already updated the OP on the matter.  Sorry about that!
     
     
    I wouldn't agree that HDR is merely a gimmick, however I have already mentioned in the post that TVs would need to specifically support it.

    I recently went from a 1080p cheapo IPS panel to a 1440p good quality IPS panel (korean though... quality meaning the panel itself)
     
    And man... it made a huge difference. 
     
     
    My 6950/6970 xFire doesnt like it in most games though lol

    They're targeted at completely different people and completely different usages. Beats are extremely bass heavy and sound "good" while HD 598's are much more clear and accurate. The HD 598's will sound much more clear and will represent what you are playing far more accurately. Beats has its own agenda when it comes to accuracy. Beats are closed back while HD 598's are open back. You can't use 598's on the bus, in public, on a plane, etc. due to this. It's just not a good comparison.
