    He's kinda annoyed that you don't know a lot about computers. Opening it up is perfectly fine. A computer virus is a bunch of code on the hard drive and code doesn't do anything to humans.

    This is some speculation but I would think that it would be like upgrading to windows 8.1. You could put Win 8 on your desktop and upgrade that to 10 but then you would have to put the fake win 7 on ur laptop. You would have to switch the drives or flip the data on each.

    Go for a very low end i5, you will have the benefit of 4 real cores. Games will continue to use more threads.

    Dude I don't even use the speakers on the laptop. I pretty much completely ignore them. And the bass sucks like you said. The beats software is garbage like you said. The speakers are good enough for youtube and thats really the only thing I use them for. EDIT: if you completely remove the beats software will the speakers still work?

    You do not NEED DX12. If you don't want it then you can stick with Windows 7, but don't complain about it. Your stubbornness is the only thing blocking this.
